NBD! Very pleased thus far. The Irish Ale/Tort sure is purdy!

Can I see some L1Ks please, just because? What you liked and didn't?

I am always looking to post pictures of my new bass. I was really GASsing for a Kiloton, but for some reason, fell in love with the look of the chrome control plate, big knobs and red tipped switch. Add in the Pharaoh Gold and I couldn't not buy it!!

Speaking of Kilotons, I am in love with the Irish Ale/Tort look, but wish it had a rosewood board instead. I think the maple is too bright, color-wise, for that finish. But, congrats on the bass!!

I get that. I simply prefer to play an all maple neck, so I guess my eyes have adjusted. lol

Guys either dissuade me or enable me...
I have a 1st Gen Yamaha TRB (JJ, MIJ, non-piezo). Sweet bass, just not my thing tone wise.
Had a guy offer to trade a '90' US L2000. My issue - I already have 2 x L2000! I don't really need another. But I'm thinking it's still a beneficial trade - even if I don't find a use for a 3rd L2000 it's still worth more than the Yammie yeah? Thoughts?

The Yammie is a very nice bass with a distinctive voice. Unless the 3rd L2000 has something unique (for your collection) going on—say the k-mod or a fretless neck—then why narrow your range of possible tones? If you don't use the TRB, then sell it and get something different, maybe an SB or Kiloton.:smug:
