I still haven't got my custom shop yet, but will weigh in once it finally arrives. Maybe this month.Has anyone noticed a considerable difference in quality between G&L USA and their USA Custom Shop?
Hey Major! Have you noticed any difference? Have you heard anything?Has anyone noticed a considerable difference in quality between G&L USA and their USA Custom Shop?

I personally wouldn't know. I haven't spent any big money on a bass since I bought my L2k and that was a production anniversary bass anyway. I'd like to think that the custom shop quality should be equal to the G&L USA but I'm just chiming in with nothing to offer.
So this happened....sounds great...punch and clarity I cant get on my M(rounds) or my L(flats)

I've been experiencing hand problems and only a true Fender P neck works.
I have a couple for the 70's and would like a new bass with a great playing, stable, neck.
Pleck'd seems like the way to go.
My Sandberg VS is awesome but the neck is too thin (width and front to back).
Same with Lakland 4401 / 4402.
Does the LB100, L2K's or any other G&L have a similar 1 5/8" nut and a deep, "baseball" radius like the 70's Fenders?
Seems like the world has gone to mostly 1 1/2" nut size be they P, J, or other pup configurations.
My 2017 (November) doesn't List PLEK on the Spec sheet. But I'll try to find out if it was PLEK'd and report back. The reason I ask is I was checking them out on Reverb and some of the build sheets state , on some they do not.

There are several neck options for ordering a bass, hopefully you can see if the specs work for you.
USA Bass Options
I have sent G&L an email and will tell you what they say.Thank you!
So do I understand correctly that G&L no longer makes USA JB-2s?
