It's probably one of the springs under the pickups resonating. Put a small piece of foam in the middle of each spring to damp it and you'll have no more trouble.but my L2500 has a a high pitch ringing noise when I pluck the strings.
Thanks for the reply, I hope your suggestion works. Please excuse my dumbness here, but you mean fully unscrew the pickups to get to springs underneath yeah? It's probably one of the springs under the pickups resonating. One of my G&Ls had that problem.

Thankyou very much! Can't wait to get the 2500 sounding like the 2000I know the question was not directed at me, but yes under the pickups. Photo of the springs from my L2500.

My L2000 Tribute is playing really great with no issues, but my L2500 has a a high pitch ringing noise when I pluck the strings. I play with a fret wrap witch eliminates the nut, but could it be the bridge? The L2000 bridge is screwed down in the through holes and is strung through the top of the bridge, where as the L2500 is strung through the body. I do plan on performing the mod but wondering if anybody else has experienced this. Attached is a link to a recording to show what I'm talking about

Thanks, I love it too. Loving these basses. Active Treble boost mode in Parralell, Bass on full, treble rolled back a touch, volume on full. Pedals are Mozztronics Opto comp into low gain Darkglass X7 into Mozztronics Bass Preamp and then Two Notes Torpedo Wall of sound plugin. Sounds even better with drumsOff topic, but, what was your recording set up (pedals)here? Really digging the tone!
Thankyou very much. Your suggestion worked!!! Incredibly grateful. I would of performed the bridge fixing mod and still had the problem if it wasn't for you. It's probably one of the springs under the pickups resonating. The bridge mod is still worth doing, and also the improving the bridge ground connection Bridge grounding as these have a habit of going high resistance. (2 out of 3 of my G&Ls have needed this.)I would of performed the bridge fixing mod and still had the problem if it wasn't for you.
