As already stated, most likely the clover keys on the tuners. It is apparently an inherent flaw with the G&L tuners.
Memo from G&L said to try some super glue. Another idea is to remove the tuners, protect them and use a vise to smash the tuner post where the clover connects.

My SB2-T has the loose clover leaf syndrome. The ONLY time it can be noticed is when the Bass is played un amplified. Which is only when it's being tuned . I choose to live with it rather than taking a chance of damaging it with tools or superglue vapor. YMMV

Congrats on that gorgeous looking and sounding bass. I have the SB2-T as well and I have a set of LaBella flats on mine. I bet you're going to fall in love again with bass playing. Here's mine....another burst finish (3-tone sunburst).

Well since we are on the subject of SB-2's here is mine that I recently picked up. It definitely needs some attention. So far I've fully disassembled the bass and cleaned the grimy fretboard. Going to paint the body since there is a repair on the bottom with paint that doesn't match. Also ordered a new pickguard to replace this poorly done homemade job.

Has G&L dropped their price on the Fallout Bass? I happened upon an Anderton's video from about a week ago where Nathan was showing off the Fallout and mentioned it was currently selling for £400 less than its price at introduction. Has there been a drop in the US price? I always felt a Fallout at around $1200 was more reasonable than what they listed them for when they started delivering the model to the stores.

Did I miss something or is Anderton just cutting the price on a product they're looking to blow out?

Yes, that's an ebony fingerboard. I also opted for the quartersawn neck and the vintage sized frets instead of the standard medium-jumbo sized frets. Altogether it's a great playing and sounding combination.

Beautiful bass...I have a Kiloton in burst with a tort pick guard but I'm thinking the white would look cool. And again, the body shape, of the SBs and the K-ton is just sexy as hell.

Question: is the non-T version setup and sound as if you had the tone knob dimed? So does the tone knob on your bass just rolloff highs?
