And I retract the word "phony." Couldn't find my thesaurus. I thought I couched my post with enough YMMVs and no disrespects intendeds. Didn't see Rule 12 on the list.

I have had this bass for 23 years.
I like player's grade gear rather than "collector grade" they usually do not overlap for me.
I took some pictures where you can see former thumbrests, midi pickup holes, midi controller holes, and where it's been shot by a BB gun twice.
You can see where my teeth held the bass in place once or twice while playing.
Marks made by my right hand forearm due to use a non adjustable strap the wear is localized. There is a rub mark on the back from where i lean on a cab to make the bass moan.
Marks on the back from stickers being removed and slid across the floor at ABC No Rio.
I also had threaded inserts put in 13 years ago which i am.torn about because i lovvvvved when the bass was tuned to E on the 2nd and 3rd strings a B power chord was massive....went and took more pics because it seems there are some "hold my beer" breakers of the 12th rule

there is nothing wrong with saying phony. Phony is an adjective and describes his opinion that relicing is not genuine. your not a mod so dont act like one. you want report the post then report the post, but dont derail and otherwise polite and friendly discussion with your thoughts on how the rules should be enforced.In light of this from the forum rules ...

Thanx, Ricky, but I guess I should have been more clear. I'm an OLD newbie. A flip phone would be an upgrade for me. I haven't learned what a sticky thread is yet.
I can click on links from my laptop screen, but when I clicked on those screenshots, all they did was get big enough to read. I don't know my way around enough to find where they came from or where they point to.
Can anyone provide a link to these extra rules, or else the details on which boxes to click on, starting from this very screen? The rules under "Rules/FAQ" end with rule #11. Where are these others?

Will be making additional mods to make the controls VV w stacked bass/treb so I can do that and take pictures afterward and if yall want help doing the same to yours I can provide all the info.

Because of aesthetics, and reputation, I spent 30 odd years wanting a Mint Condition, early 90s 5 String Fretless Warwick Streamer Stage 1. I got it. It was nearly everything I'd ever asked for. Nearly... I then played a G&L M2500 fretless 5. And traded the Wick for it immediately. I loved the look of the Wick. I loved the tone and playability of the G&L, even tho I'd not ever played one because? Looks. I had to eat my words. I've a feelin a few here may end up wit same experience. Karma works that way. Never say Never...
By the way, I would have never guessed, pun intended, that the G&L does old Warwick tone better than Warwick. But it does! My M2500 Fretless is the best, for me, out of 100+ fretless bass guitars I've tried in 35 years. One of a kind, I believe, it is from 2014. White, quartersawn neck, bound Ebony fingerboard, matching headstock, no model designation... She is real, and she is spectacular! G&L was, unexpectedly a G.A.S cure fer me. Thank you, George and Leo.

She is on the left, in my Avatar. I'll try to get a better one. Ironically, I am using an old, "relic'd" phone with a bad camera lens. Ha! But I may have a better shot somewhere. I will look.
She is adorned with stickers at the moment. In honor of a gig I have tonight. An Alice in Chains tribute I perform with. Jerry Cantrell had a white G&L guitar with similar adornments in their early videos. I had a friend "Tribute", G&L pun intended, that guitar on my bass for this evening. By the way? Ash body, and a Drop Tuner on her B string's post.

True in the earliest days there was a passive L2K that had pups in the Sabre position and nobody, years ago, had laid hands on one.
We used to call it the white elephant of G&L basses.
