I just installed a vintage pearl pickguard from Pickguard Planet on my Fullerton Kiloton. It fit perfectly and completely transformed that bass. I'll have to get a photo on here soon.

Most any P pickup. Geezer is a good one. Many others also good. Lollar, Lindy Fralin, Nordstrand, Dimarzio, Duncan, even Fender all sell them.

Glad I own a L2500 with a Marty Bell silver flake finish.
Lately G&L in house come out really good also.

Excellent to know. I'm looking at that new EMG Les Claypool, but man, it's an extra $45 just because of that gold cover. It'd look great on my sunburst LB100, but all my hardware is silver, so maybe just the EMG-P. Many years ago in a galaxy far far away I put an EMG-P in an Ibanez P-bass I had and I loved it. I swapped the Aguilar in my P bass for a Lollar. Super happy with it. It is on the more mellow side of things, which is what I wanted. The MFD's in my Matador are way hotter and clearer. The Lollar is much warmer.
For forty years, I've been an EMG active fan. I had EMG actives on an Ibanez P-bass, an Ibanez Roadstar bass (that was real work re-configuring and refinishing the body), a Steinberger XL-2, and a couple Steinberger Synapses. Then I discovered G&L's MFD pickups. They're incredible, but sometimes they're too aggressive. In the right positions on the body of the bass, they sound so fine--I love them on my G&L SB-2 and Kiloton, but not just everywhere. I like the tight, aggressive sound of the old EMG-P, but I bought the Tribute LB-100 because I wanted that old P-bass sound. I enjoyed it longer than any other sound. My old stock 1970 Fender P-bass through a Bassman (white knobs with a presence control) and a 15" JBL is the best tone I've ever gotten. I've been chasing it ever since. So I'm stuck...stay with the alnico pickup in the G&L Tribute LB100, a good pickup, or change it? I currently don't even play through an amp, though I do have both an Ashdown 200 watt and an old, old Peavey 400. But I just play through a Trace Elliot Transit-B preamp direct into our sound system. Works good, and it's easy.
OMG I just read the update page about his semi retirement. I have another project that I mentioned to him and it sounds like he will do it. I feel very blessed to have had the opportunity to have him paint an instrument for me. Hopefully it will be 2.Who as stated on his website is semi retiring

New baby needs a change of attire. My recently acquired LB100.
It's a BOO bass Probably mid 90's. Plays and sounds great, but I'd love to put a tort pickguard on her. Anyone wants to swap for my stock pearloid PG, let me know.
Gorgeous bass! I wouldn't ruin it with tort, but that's just me. I love the '90s LB-100s!
FYI, I ordered a new pickguard from Chandler Music aka Pickguard Planet (G&L Basses | Pickguard Planet) for my '93, and it fit great.
I'm surprised as well. All the B00 basses I've seen were early '80's. G&L's numbering was not haphazard, unlike early Fender. They documented their production. B00 basses should have the serial number stamped on the bridge.
