Hey Greg, what's the weight on this one?Here's a lefty G&L L-1000 that just arrived and is available for sale. This was originally a special order for a customer, but G&L built it Alder instead of Ash so I just stocked it. This gorgeous bass is looking for a home!

That one is 8.5 lbs. It's also a custom order gone awry (meaning I'm stocking it unintentionally and am thus motivated to sell it). If the weight works for you, I can PM you a lower than usual price on that one. 
that's nice 'n light. I know I've got an '81 L1K with another custom order on the way. not sure I need a third, but it is a nice looking bass.

Yeah, I imagine buying an L1K and then modifying it with M series pickup and preamp would be the fastest way to make an "M1000" happen...

checked the G&L store, they've got M-series pickups but no preamps. there goes that idea. Eh, I'm more of a passive guy anyway, but an M-1000 would be kinda cool. Even cooler would be an M-1500.
