Does it alarm anyone that everyone but bdgotoh getting L1005s lives in New York State?

No actually I'm quite comfortable with itWe're rumbling' the Empire State
Pics are taken, and the basses are now setup better and completely checked out. 4 G&L basses are boxed up and ready to get on the brown truck later this evening. Woof, that was a lot of work!!
After a photo processing session this afternoon, I should have all the pics up before I leave tonight!
Boy, I loved the Fullerton Red one just the way it is. That one sounds sooooo good. I'm guessing those are D'addario nickel rounds of some sort. Of course, as far as nickel rounds go, it is hard to beat a set of DR Sunbeams in my book...
What other strings are you considering?
Ken Smith Compressors on both![]()
I have found that LaBella 760FL's (for flats) and Dunlop Super Brights (Nickels) sound great on G&L's.
I was using those flats on my L2K for well over a year (maybe longer). I recently tried the Dunlop Super Brights (should be called super mids) and I'm really liking that pairing. The 760FLs are my flats for sure. It's hard to decide with these basses. The Fullerton Red one seems to scream "GIVE ME FLATWOUNDS!!!!".
Sweet fretless at the back! How do you like the L-1005(s)?
