G&L L-1000 Bleg

Are they so busy with other orders that doing these would just crimp their style? It's not like the info is not in their CNC machine already.

Thou shalt not question nor disturb the ways of thine G&L.

Friggin' eccentric company. I love my L-1005s anyway. Wonder if they'll bring back the L5000 next?

That is correct! I'm not sure exactly how many of the 5-ers got built (because I think another store or two may have ordered some), but I bet it's less than a dozen.
'Tis a real shame. I was seriously considering this for some time, then backed off as the price of my custom build was high enough to make me think twice about it. Here recently I've all but given up on my 4 string basses and almost exclusively play my SR5....had kicked around the idea of an L1005 to compliment it.

I guess a G&L isn't in the cards for me after all.

Let me know if they re-think their folly.

I'm gutted about the L1005. I really wanted one! I wonder if they ended it's run because there is the LB100 5 string coming later this year and will possibly be a bigger seller?
(I got a reply from G&L on their Facebook page about the LB100 5er btw)

ehhh....for me anyway.....the LB100 is just another P-Bass. Sorry to the G&L faithful, but I've never been too excited about a P-bass in general.

You can always search around and find a clean used L1k if that's what you want. I'm becoming more firmly entrenched in the 5 string camp. the L1005 would have been the ticket for me.

I may well be selling my Carvin and the Aerodyne soon. Probably pick up another Ray as a backup if I do. Rock solid and reliable. maybe get the classic bridge with the mutes. always liked a mutes at the bridge rather than the hair tie thin on the neck. .

Okay, unlike some I am very interested in the LB-100 5 string (LB-105 ?). If it had the same body & pickup as the L-5000 with the neck/bridge of a modern L-2500, that would be a sweet ride. Anywhere I can peek at some more info on this ? Maybe time to start stashing gig money !
