G&L L-1000 Bleg

It's done as far as I know. They literally said "we're not making any more of those."

Sorry! I'll give it a while & let some demand build back up and then try to revive it again...
Well if that happens I would definitely be interested. I think at some point I will have to come down your way.....some fine M/C roads in the area, I hear a bike vacation calling my name....
I assume Rocket Music has a storefront?

Not to sidetrack this thread but I want to pick your brain on the Roscoe jazz style with those dual rail humbuckers....I'll send you a PM.
I have a solid Koa body jazz bass that I want to makes some tweaks to.

Hey, guys - there is one L-1000 left in stock at the factory. This is a duplicate of the last L-1000 that I sold. G&L made 2 by mistake, and I sent the redundant one back. Anyway, it is now on the available list, and I thought I'd mention it in case anyone wants to grab the last L-1000 that will be available for a while...

This one is shoreline gold with a matching headstock, Empress/RW.

I've just passed 2 years with mine. Flirted with selling it once; 30 years of bridge pickup dependency can do that to you. But stayed with it and am thrilled I did so, as I've gotten a solid grip on how best to get the tones I want out of it. For me, the awesome is in the bass control.

A big thank you again to Greg for making this happen!

Agreed! I love the L-1000 and L-1005 that Greg ordered for me.

Greg ... is it time to ask again?

I guess I should first guage the level of interest here on TB so I have something compelling to tell the good folks at G&L. So everybody please chime in if you would be seriously interested in ordering one of these if I could convince G&L to make them available again!

I'm marking down tsl as #1. :)

I wish I could put myself on the list - played mine from the last run Saturday night and it was, as always, the bomb. OMG mode with bass & treble rolled off for balance and mellowness, light SS flats, and it provided a massive, solid foundation with singing sweetness when going higher. If Greg can get another run going the folks getting them won't be disappointed.

Let's call it 3.5. :) I'm not sure they'll be able to manage the Alnico pickup, but it doesn't hurt to ask!
Alnico or not, L-1000s are great basses and I'm glad you were able to make the last run happen. I've been playing my '14 wunkay and it is such a solid bass. If there's another run, the only tough part about ordering would be all the options, there's so many I have a hard time making up my mind.
