G&L L-1000 Bleg

Oh, snap - I just received an invoice from G&L! Two of the L-1000's and the L-1005 have shipped to me, so I should receive those this coming Friday!

These are the ones that have shipped:

L-1000 (Vintage White) for TB'er tsl
L-1000 (Tobacco Sunburst) for TB'er jmlee
L-1005 (Jet Black) for TB'er Mongo Slade

There's still one more special order L-1000 as well as the 3 L-1000's that will be inventory pieces for me. I assume those will all follow very soon.

Yahoo!
Wow; that was quick! Looking forward to this!

Woo hoo! The brown truck just delivered the first two L-1000's and the L-1005.

I've got to get an L-2500 shipped first, but after that I'll get into the boxes, do my inspection, shoot some photos and process the paperwork. I should be able to do all that and still get these shipped today, assuming all goes smoothly...

Thought you promised me nobody else could own a L-1005

Well, everybody missed out on the chance to get my first born for a song. Oh, well - he'll be out of the house in 3 years, anyway. LOL

Here's the L-1005 that came and went yesterday. Sorry for what looks like a ton of smudges on the body. I polished and polished, but gloss black is really unforgiving under lights. Yesterday, I thought the various whites were the hardest colors to capture... that's still true in terms of color accuracy, but man gloss black is a beeotch for smudges!!

The action on this one is ridiculously low, it really plays great.

Wow. I never thought a solid white bass would look so good.

Is that black hardware or just the way it looks on my phone?

It's chrome. I have some black drapery hanging all around where I shoot my photos. I'm trying cut down on glare, but it does tend to make the hardware in my photos look black if the angles are just right...

You do an awesome job with the photos, and hats off to you for taking the time to photograph the bases that are already sold.

I have a gloss black bass in my collection (Aerodyne) and its not an easy one to photograph.

And here one of the L-1000's! The neck is very nicely flamed, even more so than you can see in the photos. It's gorgeous!

Greg, the pictures look great! Cannot wait to get this one in person!

I had asked Greg to put in a couple special requests for me with G&L on this one ... light overall weight (less than 9 lbs), dark rosewood, and a muted headstock point. G&L delivered on all three! Weight is a nice 8.5 lbs according to Greg.

And here's the last of the 3 that have arrived so far! I love the look of this one, too. Great spec choices to my eyes!

That's beautiful, Greg! Looking forward to taking this beauty out to play. I love the plain rosewood without dots and that G&L tobacco burst!
