G&L L-1000 Bleg

Yeah I've been down this road too. Part of me wants in, part of me says I have enough basses, and still another part wants to try other flavors. Its like going to an ice cream shop with 98 homeade flavors....you want to try them all.
The only reason I didn't get in on this was because G&L said "no lefties" for this run. Not bitter though. I have enough basses and I'm happy for those that got in on this run.
I promise, at some point in the near future I will get my hands on a new L1K from Greg. Just seeing the amount of work he puts into getting these deals done is reason enough
And a couple more L-1000's shipped yesterday. These ones are inventory pieces.
So I'm still waiting on one of the special orders, but I feeling better seeing them continue to flow. Shouldn't be long now.

Woo hoo! The brown truck just delivered the first two L-1000's and the L-1005.
I've got to get an L-2500 shipped first, but after that I'll get into the boxes, do my inspection, shoot some photos and process the paperwork. I should be able to do all that and still get these shipped today, assuming all goes smoothly...

Well, everybody missed out on the chance to get my first born for a song. Oh, well - he'll be out of the house in 3 years, anyway. LOL
Here's the L-1005 that came and went yesterday. Sorry for what looks like a ton of smudges on the body. I polished and polished, but gloss black is really unforgiving under lights. Yesterday, I thought the various whites were the hardest colors to capture... that's still true in terms of color accuracy, but man gloss black is a beeotch for smudges!!
The action on this one is ridiculously low, it really plays great.

It's chrome. I have some black drapery hanging all around where I shoot my photos. I'm trying cut down on glare, but it does tend to make the hardware in my photos look black if the angles are just right...
And here's the last of the 3 that have arrived so far! I love the look of this one, too. Great spec choices to my eyes!

You do an awesome job with the photos, and hats off to you for taking the time to photograph the bases that are already sold.
I have a gloss black bass in my collection (Aerodyne) and its not an easy one to photograph.

I had asked Greg to put in a couple special requests for me with G&L on this one ... light overall weight (less than 9 lbs), dark rosewood, and a muted headstock point. G&L delivered on all three! Weight is a nice 8.5 lbs according to Greg.
And here's the last of the 3 that have arrived so far! I love the look of this one, too. Great spec choices to my eyes!

This L-1000 looks a lot like the L-1000 in the previous post, but they are indeed different basses. This one is 3 Tone Sunburst instead of Tobacco Burst, and this one has face dots.

It looks like this run of L1000s have a different output jack than the previous run and the serial number is painted on the headstock instead of a screw-down plate.
