I've got this natural S750 L-1000, and I've also got a Turquoise one that I have not yet photographed. I'll do that ASAP.

I forgot to mention that this one weighs just 8.9 lbs. That's pretty awesome for one of these larger Series 750 basses, especially one with an Ash body!

Is the body on the Series 750s actually larger than the L1K/L2K/SB body?
All the reviews I see of the Series 750s call out the 'bigness' of everything, not just the pickup or tone.
Is this just in comparison to the narrower-spaced G&L 5s or to other 19mm/3/4" bridge spacing 5s?

I have 19mm-spaced Pedulla and F-Bass 5-ers that are very comfy/ergonomic and don't feel outsized.
I also have a wonderful '96 SB-1 with great ergonomics that weighs about 8.6#, so curious how different a Series 750 of similar weight feels/balances.

Yep, the body is scaled up slightly. Along with everything else, like the bridge, the pickups and the neck.

In my ongoing quest to keep some LB-100's with a 1.5" nut in stock, here's a lovely Ash/Maple LB-100 in Vintage Natural with a light tint satin neck finish and tort guard. Does it get more classic looking than this?

I love that finish! The newer Andromeda guitars/basses seems to have more of the sparkle in it compared to ones made a few years ago.

Yeah, I had some runs on colors earlier this year (Yellow Fever and Andromeda were both getting ordered by several customers), and I eventually started adding an inventory order as I ordered those special orders once I saw the trend. So now I have two Yellow Fever basses and two Andromeda basses in stock even though I usually try to avoid color redundancy. But cool colors are cool colors, why fight it?

Here's that turquoise L-1000 S750 that I mentioned a while back, I finally got it posted just now.

This is another light one, just 8.6 lbs. That's pretty remarkable given the slightly upscaled size of these S750 basses. I have to think these two really light ones that I have in stock at the moment are the exceptions rather than the rule.

Here's a brand new Kiloton in Matcha Green that arrived a couple months ago. This was a second special order for the same guy who stiffed me with the Himalayan Blue SB-2T. Which is just great, I love when that happens. Twice!!


I'm letting this one go at the old prices since it was ordered prior to the 2022 price increase. I'm also planning to announce a sale tomorrow that will disburse this customer's two deposits (which I obviously kept) evenly across some number of basses. I'm still pondering, but I'm thinking an extra $100 off (that's in addition to my usual discount) the next 6 G&L basses that I sell. And if anyone has an open special order with me, I'll knock $50 off the quoted price if you'd like to prepay in full sometime in the next week or two. I'll keep this sale running until whatever combination of those two things exhausts the $600 deposit that I have to throw around. Something like that anyway, holler at me if you're into either thing. And I'll do an official sale announcement tomorrow.

A couple of weeks ago I looked at Sweetwater's stock, to see how much lower than average the 8.8 lb one you shipped to the UK was:

"Sweetwater have 4 × basswood L-2500 Series 750, ranging 9.7 lb – 10.5 lbs, and a basswood L-1000 Series 750 at 9.6 lb"

Yep, he definitely knew what he wanted out of these, and they did turn out great. Shame the guy either died or got sick or hit some dire financial straits. Oh, well.

I just noticed that I originally posted the Himalayan Blue SB-2T at the higher 2022 price ($2470). I'm sure that was done in a fit of anger. Now I just want to sell it, so I've marked it back down to the 2021 price ($2089).
