1981 L2000 E grabbed locally. Super super clean and everything works. I believe original case and G&L documents too. This thing is the bomb! Can't wait to play it out!!

Nice bass! I had a white '82 w/crinkle coat hardware. One that I regret letting go of.1981-82 L2000 E grabbed locally. Super super clean and everything works. I believe original case and G&L documents too. This thing is the bomb! Can't wait to play it out!! View attachment 4210701

Hold on to that!!
Are you sure it wasn't 83? I have the G&L Leo's Legacy book that says the crinkle came out then.
Interesting. Like all things in those days not everything was black and white.
The headstock is clearly visible in the OP's picture.NICE. I had a white one just like it as my first bass. But, it isn’t an early 80’s L-2000 thread without pics of the headstock, neck plate, and closeups of the finish checking.
I'm having a hard time reading the text other than serial numbers but I believe you.SJan3 check this. Catalog from 10/1980
