I believe the L1500 and L1505 have been discontinued. I don't know what the official decision was but some people have speculated that the Kiloton 4 and 5 rendered them obsolete.
Greg
All this change over the past few years has me a little confused.
What neck width, radius and profile do I order on an LB 100 to get a #12 neck?
YeahOooo - pop quiz time! LOL
This section of the G&L website partially answers the question. Order code 12NK gets you the thickness and the nut width of the old #12 neck, and that just leaves the radius as the only question. There used to be only two radius choices (7.5" and 12"), and I believe the #11 was 7.5" and the #12 was 12". But don't quote me on that, maybe somebody with more confidence can confirm or deny that?
G&L used to have a nice table on their website that translated the old stuff into the new stuff, but I can't find it now after their site redesign.
Yeah
I remember seeing that table but couldn’t find it. Hence the question.
Just picked up a Roscoe Fretless but an LB100 is in the not too distant future.
Nice. I’ve been contemplating an LB-100 for a while. I’d love it in white with R/W and tort though. Nice price, indeed.Just FYI - the 12NK spec is the default neck profile on an LB-100. These days, that implies just the 1 5/8" nut width and the 0.820” to 0.940” thickness specs. However, the "new" radius (9.5") is the default radius now. So the current default neck on an LB-100 is neither the old #11 or the old #12. You could certainly order either of the other radii, but that would come with the $150 MSRP upcharge. Unless you're super picky, the 9.5" is probably just fine.
Not sure whether you saw this post, but the new Fullerton Standard LB-100 is a pretty amazing deal if you can work with the 1 5/8" nut width, the 9.5" radius, the two available color choices, and a gig bag instead of a hardshell case. There's no changing anything about these instruments, they're just a fixed set of specs that G&L is building in batches so they can pass along the savings they make by building in batches. All that comes with an advertised price of just $1050 shipped... so it'll be under a grand by the time I do my usual discount. Pretty amazing for a great made in USA bass.
These folks made the pickguards for G&L (I think until 2017). I bought a 1-ply black (to replace tort) for my LB-100 and it was a great fit.Greg,
Can you get a G&L Tort guard for my LB-100?
Regards,
Ed

The G&L webstore, USA pickguards link, says this:
For USA G&L instruments manufactured in early 2016 and later.
and has a link for more information, but the link doesn't work and gives an ugly error message.
And Chandler/Pickguard Heaven lists two USA LB-100 pguards - original (i guess), and for basses produced April 2013 and later. Here's their G&L page:
