Why do you have to bash someone because they support USA made products?
Why do some people feel the need to bash someone because some of their stuff is made in China? And it was not that long ago that GK was making stuff in China, too, and I rarely if ever heard anyone take a potshot at them.Why do some people feel the need to bash someone because they support USA made products? I don't hate the fact that Ampeg is made in whatever Asian country they are made. But I do feel that the fact that GK is manufactured in the US is a positive.
I'm surprised at a lot of the responses. The two aren't even in the same league are they?

Simple: when G-K made SOME of their stuff overseas, their prices reflected the savings in manufacturer costs, and they didn't jack their prices up on the lines that stayed in the USA...
Ampeg, on the other hand, moved production to Vietnam, then China to cut costs, but didn't pass any of the saving along to their customers... THEN, when they did finally make something domestically, they called it "Heritage", and charged an arm and a leg for it...
