Gallien-Krueger MB2: Any more info?

I cant wait for this to come out - I looked into getting a GB Shuttle 6.0 but the lack of upper/lower mid controls and no boost feature kept my money in my bank for now. When this comes out I'll probably sell my 1001 and get it

:edit: just checked MF and it says its available as of 9/7, which is today.

I was one of those that ordered my MB2-500 from Music123 at the $499 price. My GK 1001RB-II gets the bulk of my gigging work, but my Genz-Benz Shuttle 6.0 is starting to make a case for getting its share just by the weightsaving aspect and sound. I can't wait to compare the GK lightweight to the GB lightweight.

I already have(benifits of working here). It's not my input, but yours that is important.

How about the user manual Brian? Is that available yet?

I tried it at NAMM and as a 400RB fan I was quite happy with the sound and control response. Set it like my 400RB and gave me the sound I wanted. The Shuttle was an exercise in frustration because it wasn't my thing.

Got a MB2 on the way as well.

I had a Shuttle 6.0 and really had to work it to get a GK sound. The damn thing would cut out with every power fluctuation. Too unreliable..Sold it! Back to my trusty GK'S..
Hope to hear good results from the MB2..:hyper:

Just spoke with a sales rep at Invalid Link Removed, and they don't have any yet. GK was still assembling their order and they expect to have their first shipment in by next week. They still have some room on their early order waiting list. I take that to mean they haven't already sold the entire first shipment, so if you get in now you'll be in on that first shipment.

I'm pretty pumped to try one of these out. I'm usually not one of the first to bite, but this may be the exception. I've had no amp gas for years since I got a GK1001, but the thought of a smaller version is pretty exciting. I'm sure it will sound a little different, but if it has that "GK sound" and is rated in "GK watts" then I'm sure it will kick some major a$$. :bassist:

I've got a sizable band payout tonight. If enough funds come my way I might just get on the RMC list.

Anyone know if Guitar Centers will be stocking this amp? At all locations? I'd bet it could take a few weeks for a product to make it through GC's distribution network. Are any other dealers shipping to customers yet?
