Gallien-Krueger MBE410 Cab Is Here!

Really thinking about getting one of these. I just picked up a pair of 210MBE cabs for a light modular mini rig. Thought they sounded great. I a/b'd them with some big money cabs and ended up choosing the MB. It was not nearly as articulate, but the sound hit my ear right and frankly the price can't be beat. If I were to be honest the other cab probably sounded a bit better, but not $600-800 better.
I think the 410MBE with a 210MBE would make a killer 610 setup for the bigger shows. The tweeter/horn whatever it is, seems pretty worthless. I turned it on and it was all hiss and white noise. Not a big deal as it's a feature I don't normally use, but definitely not impressed.
I just pulled the trigger on an 8 ohm 410mbe. Small 45 lb sealed 4x10 it was just irresistible! I like the sound of sealed cabinets and rarely use a tweeter. Keeping my fingers crossed because I couldn't find one to play first.
Excellent. Mine should hopefully be showing up today. These cabs are pretty brilliant to me on paper. Can't wait to hear how it sounds. I currently have two of the 210's and am still trying to figure out what I think about them.
Cool dude! I'm going to finally play mine at a gig with an MB Fusion on it tomorrow night...very excited!! I think you'll like the MBE410 much more than 2-210s. Mine is 4 ohms and the little MB Fusion just roars through this cab!
Me too. This wait is killing me. I like the fact that sealed cabs don't unload if you play notes that are under the tuning frequency. Its all a bit more controlled than a ported cabinet.
Thanks man! Here at the house, the MB-F + MBE410 is just killin'!! More tone than I've heard in a while...very 'present' sounding...which is why GK is the 'sound in my head'!!
410 didn't show up today, should be here by Monday. Looking forward to checking it out. In the mean time here is my 2 x 210MBE stack.

Just ordered one today from L&M, but apparently they don't have one stocked anywhere in Canada so it has to be shipped from the manufacturer. Their ETA is about 2 weeks, which is a while, but I'm sure it'll be worth it.. Can't wait to hook it up
Thanks for the compliments guys. I just covered the stock grills with grill cloth. If anyone wants more info on covering the grill let me know, it's pretty easy. Doing this may help your rattling issue Hutzbordello. It gives the grill a much tighter fit.
This is actually the second set of cabs I've done this to. Last year a picked up a pair of GK Neo 412's for really cheap, but they were in pretty rough shape cosmetically speaking. I had them line-x'd and replaced all the hardware.

Waiting for arrival is the worst part. Hopefully its a quick 2 weeks. I have high hopes for the 410MBE. The 210's seem pretty nice, but I haven't gotten to use them very loudly yet. The plan is to use the 210's as a vertical stack with my Walkabout when were on a small stage. For the other stuff I'll make a 610 stack and use the M6.
Yeah, I'm going a bit nuts actually... I've been practicing on a Vox 10-watt guitar amp since I started playing about 3.5 years ago, and just today ordered a VT Bass Deluxe, and this cab. I also picked up a Crown XLS1000 today, which is sitting there waiting to scream. I can't wait to start playing through this. I have some high expectations for my sound, which I'm sure will be met. I really don't even feel like playing through the Vox right now, just too excited.
And Ataunton, Any info about the grill covering would be much appreciated.... Those look awesome!

I sure hope it does. I recently sold a Mesa PH1000 (410 115) cab that sounded huge. The only problem was it was as heavy as it sounded. I think around 135lbs. Decided I would try going light and modular and these were the lightest cabs I could find that stack nicely. Also they fit on my back seat so that I don't have to unload all of my work gear every time I have a gig.
lol, that's basically why I went with this... I was set on something about twice the weight, but I can be REALLY lazy, and figured that if I was thinking about going out with that other cab, that I would think about the lifting it into my jeep and not bother or something. Then I was thinking of getting a 210 for smaller shows, but when I realized this weighed the same (or even less) I was sold.
