My GK Neo IV 2x12 showed up today. Super sleek, weight was 48.5lbs, solid build. The early 90s 800 with this new new cab is a perfect pairing.

IME the 12" loaded Neo cabs are very nicely balanced with a solid, full low end that is not overly emphasized. That cab should be able to handle anything the 800 can throw at it without a problem.

Congrats! I’m considering purchasing one of these to revamp my setup for next year’s schedule of festivals & shows. Had considered a “custom” cab- like Greenboy, Audiokinesis, LDS, etc... but the GK 2/12 neo @ 4ohms would be a contender for what I’m wanting as well.

The 800 RB is super cool btw- I’ve got an original GK 400Rb from the mid 80’s that I picked up a couple yrs ago & it slams !

The way I see it, there's are great 12 cabs for every budget right now. If you have no money, go Peavey. Their 112 Headliner sounds great and it's so cheap it's almost free. If you have money and are looking for a mid-priced 12 cab, you go GK Neo. If you want a step up from there, there's no need to pay for boutique brands. If money is no object, you go Fearless. The end.

What’s cool about the 800rb is you have true biamping or you can run the 100 watt section on full range. So you can run a 4x10 or 2x12 in the 300 watt section and than if you want a small cab to add some sound or just bring some sound to ear level, you can run a smaller cab at 100 watts without killing it.
The 100 watt section is pretty powerful too.

Congrats brother ! I love that era of the black Neo's. Such a good look.
So, I used to own the silver NEO 212 and it was probably the BEST cab I ever owned as an overall cab. I used it on plenty outdoor shows, too and it projects just fine. It's feather light and sounds huge. 410 punch with 15 characteristics.

The GK, Mesa, Bergantino, and SWR are the only neo cabs I've played that don't sound neo, granted that was a few years ago and a lot's changed but this is a "You can't ever go wrong with it" kind of cab.

Very cool. It's similar to my Carvin BX1500. It's got two independent amps that each do 300w at 8 ohms, 450w at 4 ohms, and 750 at 2. It has an optional crossover, but I only ever run them full range.
