Geddy Barn Find....

My first thought was Mike Todd from Coheed and Cambria, as that bass is of an old enough vintage, then the look and wear and tear tells me it's definitely seen actual use. Who knows what he did with them as he left the band in 2012 and haven't heard much of him since. He was from NY I believe, dunno where Quad is from...

You're clearly not going to tell us how much or else you already would have. My over under for that would probably have been $450. I might have been able to talk myself out of it above that price but not at or below.

When i first got back into playing in bands around 2007, $450 was what I paid for a mint condition CIJ Geddy. Not too much later, it was worth alot more. I traded it and some cash for my first Ric. Great bass and miss it.

Prob not his, however, I found this on the back of the original pickguard (that was on it when I got it) and also, a faint signature on the back of the body... The mystery thickens....

This popped up for sale locally today. 1998 MIJ Geddy. Absolutely beat to snot. Spent a lot of time cleaning her and giving her a much needed setup. After a few hours of work, turns out she plays great. The old DiMarzio pups in her sound pretty good too. Guess she was played hard for a reason. Pics....

When I saw "Geddy Barn Find" I though perhaps you had found an old machine that his uncle had preserved for 50 odd years.

Nice! My MIJ serial was worn off too by the previous owner. Can you can tell it’s MIJ By removing the neck? I’ve been tempted to remove mine but haven’t done it yet:-)
