I remember this thread when it first surfaced, but apparently didn't subscribe to it. Awfully tempting, though the ones I'd want are sold out. That makes me a sad panda.

Okay, so now that you've gloated with pics, how about a report of it? Construction quality, sound, usefulness in band setting, etc.? EDIT: Saw you mentioned a blem you couldn't really find, and didnt' like the neck PU location...feel free to embellish.

Its a great bass, comfortable and weighted fairly well. Not done many reviews so I don't think any comments I make are justifiable really :/ But if you're considering getting one, do it. You won't regret it.
EDIT: I bought it at a reduced price due to apparent lacquer damage on the lower horn, that is just noticeable in the right light. As for the neck PU, it's just too close to the neck for my liking, but the sound of the PU's more than makes up for it.
Nice. Are you in the UK? Not trying to seem like a stalker, just wondering if it'd be possible to get one stateside without breaking the bank...though the color(s) I'd want are out of stock at present. Sent an e-mail to David, in case he does a second run.
Yeah, up in Scotland. I don't think he's going to be doing another batch, I asked when checking for availability of the white ones, he said he was working on new models....
I'm hoping for Gibson Ripper / P Bass cross. Would love a Gibson bass... Friend of mine has an Epiphone Ripper with 2 PU's, great axe
