Geddy Lee Sansamp Pedal!

Would be cool to have a pedal that re-creates his 1980 tone when he was using BGW power amps and Ashley SC-40 preamps running through 15's... of course you'd need to have a Rickenbacker 4001 that has that sound too....
I like his Jazz Bass tone but I liked it even more when he used it on the Moving Pictures tour...

It's pretty amazing to think that I'll be able to have this kind of tone flexibility in a little stomp box that previously required THIS from my setup:

Running 2 different SansAmps in parallel with each other (1 for clean, 1 for dirt) with a summed output - in order to only have to lug around a single cabinet to produce the blended tone.

Sounded like a million bucks! Weighed like a million pounds...

The “Tight” control makes the unit incredibly versatile as it completely changes the voicing of the distortion: tight, cutting distortion with it in, fat OD into borderline fuzz with it out.

I'm wondering if the pedal switch is a full bypass, or it just turns off the drive channel, leaving the eq'd clean channel on. @tech21nyc ?

Since the EQ is for the drive channel I guess it would be full bypass

Let my clarify: I meant "eq'd clean channel" as in the the "deep" side of the pedal, that includes a presetted eq curve and is the clean part of the sound

Yep, even though I own the GED2112 I'll have to get one of these too, if only for the portability factor.

This also makes it easier for Non-US buyers to get the sound. It's a PITA to have a rack unit AND also a voltage transformer (+ cheaper shipping )

Played on it at NAMM for a bit. You're all going to LOVE it! It won't make you play like Geddy Lee, but boy it sure does nail that sound without much tweaking. Honestly, probably one of the best pedals Tech21 has come out with to date. I have a spot on my board that I use for pedal swapping and this will fit right in it. Most likely be a must buy for me.

Any chance you'd post a demo of various settings vs. clean signal for comparison?

What you've posted doesn't give me any idea what the pedal does, esp. if not planning to do Rush covers with a J bass.

That's not a criticism, just an observation. I do appreciate the effort.
