Well, more like $105 after 'fees'. It's not my crock of tea, either, but there are folks who will jump at the chance and I don't have an issue with that. I'm just not one of them, and I love Rush and GL.

If he came to the local book store by me, which actually draws tons of famous authors for signings...I'd pony up the cash for a signature and a quick photo. If photos weren't allowed, I'd have to think about it, but it would be pretty amazing to get to shake his hand and say thanks and get him to sign a book specifically to me with my name on it even if the moment fades from his memory the instant it happens...it will surely last a lifetime for me. I've had the opportunity to meet a few of my musicaly heros (recently got to jam with one for 3 hours!!!!) and the moments they've taken out to give me an ounce of their attention has really been priceless experiences for me.

Sounds like the rules are different for each location. For Atlanta, he'll sign two books, NO Rush stuff, books must be personalized, no stopping the line for a photo (i.e., no poses). I think the store is trying to set up tough rules and perhaps relax them, which is easier than enforcing new rules on the day. There are also two more waves of signings, with the first two sold out. What did I expect? Atlanta was - and still is - definitely a Rush town.

I already have a copy, but I'm going to call and see if I can bring that to get signed too. If not, I might pass that one on to a friend.

Took me 3.5 hours in line in Chicago. Saw Geddy for 20 seconds and got the autographed book and gave him a fist pump. Memories!
