I honestly don't really even care what Gene Simmons does. I was never a KISS fan growing up in the 70's. My older brothers and sisters always viewed them as a joke and when I finally listened to them I understood why.

Well…nobody ever went broke purely for pandering to the bad taste of the general listening public.

Anybody remember this video. Look, I'm not jealous of Gene's success but for the love of God, If Carol Kaye showed me this bass line I'd be able to play it within the first two tries. It just shows you how so many of these guys made it without even knowing some basics on their instrument. "Don't mess with Texas" is a kind of unofficial Texas slogan. The point is that "Hook 'em Horns" has been around a lot longer that Gene has been doing "devil horns." Gene is probably not aware of that.
