So how do you "dial in" the amount of tube/snarl... Will this be derived in the gain section or will there be a separate knob all together?

thsi would be tube overdrive, from the preamp. There are six gain stages with this section.

There are three controls at play: the volume knob, gain knob and hi/low gain button.

If you want the cleanest, purest tone possible, keep the button on low gain, keep the gain knob relatively low, and boost the volume knob.

There is a WIDE range of gain with this preamp. We wanted it to do "pure-tube-warmth" without adding much color and keeping it clean. We also wanted it to do a wide range of tube overdrive if desired.

With the basses used for "voicing", this will go from SA200 clean to "classic" grind and overdrive.

Because of some internal "discreet" stuff with our 3dPM, it will stay punchy and defined.

I've set pricing but, I really don't like to quote it on the net. It is a "nominal" increase over the Shuttle series.

4 ohm minimal load.

Sounds great...out of curiosity how will this gain adjustment setup effect the DI output....ie in the past (shuttle 6.0) the volume (to me) had no effect on the DI signal but the gain did...

Im guessing if one has a Shuttle 9 already and needs more power.. then winds up getting a Streamliner. They could always run preamp out of the Streamliner into the poweramp in on the 9 and have 1800 watts on hand..
Dont know if the poweramp section of the Streamliner and 9 are exactly the same..

Various comments on this process, but no one pointed out that to use the power sections of both amps you'd need more than one cabinet -- yes (unless you biamped somehow)?

Yeah that's actually one of the tings I like about the Shuttle.. not a lot of bells & whistles.. but what's there is a pretty broad palette..

Yeah, you're right, very true. And both cabs would have to be 4ohm to get the 1800w capability.

Thas a good question.. but now that i think about it.. I dont believe there is a foot-switch jack on the back of the amp like the 9.. I may be wrong though...
