Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 Appreciation Thread

Hey guys, has anyone run the Shuttle 9.0 with an Avatar B212 Neo?
I'm wanting to shed some pounds from my current setup, and leaning heavily towards this combo. I play mainly classic rock and blues, plus some 80's hair band covers. Will likely buy two 212's to use for bigger shows.
Thanks!

I use it with a 112 and a 210, I don't dig the 210 alone nearly as much as the 112. The Avatar 112 Neo sounds terrific with the GB 9.0, every tone I dial in sounds great. I'm happy with every tone I dial in, be it vintage with a bit of grind or a fat funky scoop tone. I play mostly Funk, R&B, soul, jazz and any rock with a dancy groove.

I'll likely get a 212 if the Avatar 15's never come out.

I've been experimenting with running a Joe Meek ThreeQ Compressor/EQ through the effects loop of my Shuttle 9. Should I be using balanced cables for this or are the unbalanced cables I've been using OK?

Use unbalanced (Tip-sleeve, shielded)

Totally serious....The SVT sounded OK, the 9.0 kinda owned it!
Compliments and positive remarks about the 9.0 on a SVT 810 today.

Man...what a beautiful Roscoe! They're one of my favorite basses. I don't own one though...yet.

The cab wasn't the best for smooth Jazz R&B, nor was the amp (it wasn't the best sounding one I heard) I had my 9.0 with me and I plugged it in, TOTALLY sounded awesome (and massively better IMO)
Actually, the amp sounded great with this indi rock band that played earlier in the day.

OT, but yeah Roger, this one is a work of art. Here's a few better pics:

Just Best Offer on ebay if you want the bag and amp for 650ish. That is how I got mine for $700, then I found out others were getting them for less.

60% of the time it works every time;)

there are 4 different ebay stores offering Best Offer, not every store gives insane deals but "Andrew's Music" where I got mine will give it to you for less than $700.

Just got mine off the bay for $675, no bag though. I plan on putting it in my gig bag, we'll see if I need it. Can't wait to try it out!

I just got an S9 and happened to put it on my NV610, which was not getting much use. No more. That is an outstanding combination. As Mike says about the SVT, the S9 owns the NV610. Fantastic tone monster, especially with fretless. Sort of new school meets old school. I'll try to get pics up by the weekend. This may become my "rig" of choice. Just have to see if the NV610 fits in the trunk of my Accord.

As much as I love the modern sounding cabs (AG, SWR and GB etc...) these little suckers seem to light up old school type cabs and make me smile.

Don't get me wrong, a 9.0 will NEVER replace nor sound like a screamin' SVT, but for me, it slays it for MY type of tone (sorta super J but nice and warm). But the last few fly in dates I've had were back lined with SVT's and I was OK with that.

I'm pulling north of 200 dates this year alone. Maybe closer to 250 with the holidays coming up. (Been suggested to me about a nice little holiday tour with a pretty cool female country artist...more to come as deets unfold...)

I had my 9.0 scheduled to go to GB for some TLC, but as of now it's my only amp, so I haven't had a chance to send it back yet. Gonna rent something maybe this week and get it to the guys to look at.
I had some issues, but a few tube swaps later and the noise and crap went away.
My 9.0 has a TON of hours on it. pretty much turned on at least every other day for practice and or a gig.

Now, if I could convince someone to maybe send me one of the new platform heads they have coming out, to demo, while my 9.0 is getting some GB tech love so I don't have to rent say an Eden or GK............:ninja:.......
