+1. I have the Pre gain at 9, Pre volume at 3, Master at 12 and have nice smooth tone with no volume issues. I'm using a 4 ohm cab so I have the headroom, when I used my previous 8 ohm cab I'd sometimes need more Master volume.

I've been using a 6.0 for over a year now and heard so much about the 9.0, but never had the opportunity to try it out in a real life situations.
Well, I had a good friend lending me his 9.0 for a gig this last Saturday and, oh boy, I'm selling my 6.0 to get a 9.0... what a fantastic amp!!!

Please forgive me if this has been asked before as I didn't have time this morning to go through all 46 pages of this thread.
Does the 9.0 sound just like the the tube channel of the 12.0?
Assuming gain, volume and eq are all set at noon.
I'm currently using a 12.0 w/ a NeoX 212T and it's a great rig indeed.

From what I understand there is a slight difference in output tone due to the difference in power section.

GB engineers, is the 9.0 also voice a tad bit lower?

With my cabs, basses etc.. I feel the 9,0 seems a little more low mid heft.. slightly ... The 12,0 seems a little more HiFi .... slight difference.. could be the extra watts on the 9.0 but they do sound slightly different to me. Then you have the merge of the two with the 9.2.. That is one amp that i really feel the need to get my hands on one day..

Good point, but I want it for myself. I do like the ability to vary the amount of influence the global filters have. I also hear very good things about the fet channel. :eyebrow:

i LOVE the FET channel on my SM12.. Its wide and fast.... I gig the streamliner 900 all the time now.. it is also clean, and tight the way i set it ... but im seriously thinking of buying a 9.2.. Dont get me wrong i like my 9.0, but the added FET on the 9.2 is real interesting to for some gigs...... would love to see a SM18.0 :bassist::bassist:.

Slightly more 'low mid heft' is exactly what I love in my tone. Don't get me wrong, I can dial that in on the 12.0 with that wonderful EQ section. But to have that low mid heft in a smaller, and lighter amp just might be for me. I see a 9.0 in my future!

BTW, does any one know if the 9.0 would fit in the front pocket of a IGIG 515 gig bag?
What is the the height measurement of the 9.0 without the rubber feet?

Not sure which model iGig I have (it's the one that's been very popular the last few years) but my Shuttle 9.0 fits in the outside pocket. And I can still fit a loose leaf binder in the inside pocket.

The 9.0 is only about 2.5 inches tall with feet.. it fits in my moradian gig bag with ease... dont know about your Igig...
