Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 Appreciation Thread

I'm thinking a SM9.2 is a 9.0 with more tonal manipulation plus this 3D thing. Could be very nice. I would definitly like to test-drive one.

IME/IMHO not in the least.

I absolutely love the tone of the SM9.2. After spending considerable time in a/b testing trying to get the S9 to sound like the SM9.2, I have given up now.
No combination of gain / volume got me even close. Always far too gritty.
Such a pity... I love the form factor, I hate the tone.

I must admit I do feel a bit like a pervert with all this love pouring out for the S9, but I never liked its tone on any occasion that I tested it.

ShuttleMax 9.2, open the LF Global Shape up to taste, both FET and Tube channels sound absolutely fantastic, clean round and yet authoritative and precise.
So different from the Shuttle 9........

When I had my 9.0 (sold for a Streamliner) I really liked boosting low mids and engaging the mid cut button. It seemed that I could dial in a really great tone with everything flat except for those two controls - just work the mid frequency and boost until it sounded right.

I'm really thinking about getting one. I've got a Shuttle 3.0 and would really like more overhead (even though the 3 rarely needs to go past 5).

Now that the Streamliner is out, the 9 has dropped in price slightly it seems. Also, Avatar is offering a special price on GB heads if you purchase one of their cabs at the same time.

Gigged with my new Shuttle 9.0 (and an Avatar B410 Neo) for the first time last night. A great match. No complaints.
Q: Does the advertised gig bag (only identifying "for 3.0 & 6.0") also fit the 9.0?
I had put it in a back pack but I'd prefer something better.

Most people do not like the gig bag and are going for something more protective. Gig skinz a makes a nice bash but it is twice the price.a cheaper option would be a laptop bag.

I like the Shuttle gig bag. Holds the amp and speaker cable. Everything else I need fits in my bass gig bag.

+1 Me too. It's not the sturdiest thing out there, and it's a little snug, but it does what I need it to do, and it is rather svelte.

I fly with my GB soft case in hand...
I dont need anything heavier unless someone else is handling it , besides me.. been using mine for a few years now.. the zipper is getting messy but man it has MILES and miles on it now

I use a small laptop case. It has more padding than the GB bag... I got it for $20 here .. works for me..
