Nice, Liam! now tell that guitard to get his headstock out of your face while you're soloing! :D

Soloing? Nah. I just always play up there. My philosophy is, if you can't say it above the 15th fret, it's not worth saying, lol. (KIDDING!)

I might have been soloing, or it might just be in that "Steal Your Kisses" tune. Lots of cool little licks high on the fingerboard. REALLY fun bass part.

Cheers

What is the street price on the Shuttle 3.0? The retail price is almost as much as what some guy said he got quoted on the 6.0!

I think many places are going to do the sort of "standard" discount at about 20%. You might find places selling for less or more. At Corner Music in Nashville, I paid right at 80% of the list price. That was the marked price, not the result of haggling (which I don't usually do much of).

Cheers

Has anyone compared the 3.0 to the 6.0? Whats the difference in tone? Can you describe the sound as you turn the tube up in the 6.0? Is there a massive volume difference between the two amps?

I would think there would be a big volume difference with the 6.0 being twice the power of the 3.0.

Theoretically it shouldn't be that big (3db). That kind of wattage difference is usually more of a feel thing which is why I'd like to hear if anyone has compared them directly.

Fretlessboy can you describe how the tube affects the tone in the 6.0?

True, but it depends on the cab and where most of that extra 3db goes. Volume increase from more wattage doesn't increase all frequencies uniformly. Sometimes it's barely noticeable, while other times it's very noticeable.

With my 112 at 8 ohms, going from the Neo-pak (225 watts) to the 1200 (550 watts) is very substantial in feel, although volume isn't necessarily great. You can easily feel more oomph.

Best way to put it is the tube channel of the 1200 with 1/2 the juice
