Genz Benz Streamliner Part 3!!!!

I think you will be really happy with your choice. That berg sounds great with the SL.. it is wide and full with great mids..
I really like the Berg HT over the AE cabs for fullness. just my preference..
Whats nice about the HT is if you trun off the tweeter it still has a nice amount of clarity coming from the un aided 12" . Just a wonderful cabinet in general.. and paired with the wide , fast , punchy sounding SL900. i think you have a nice portable rig! But if you add a second HT112ER.. whoa look out!

Good to know the DI is useable! I just ordered a Streamliner 900 and a Berg HT112ER, having never heared any of these before. Sometimes life is a gamble :p

You may want to consider the Uber 212. It has girth and punch... and fullness. and may be just right for the Rock. and Blues stuff you mentioned.

The AE410 is great too..A very loved caninet here on TB .. and for a good reason..
But my buddy had one and then got the Uber410 and is liking it a bit more than the AE for a similar Rock blues type gig.

Help!!!
Thinking of pulling the trigger on a Streamliner- but need a cab to go with it-
thoughts-
GB uber?
Berg AE410
Accugroove triL210
other's
looking for the blues and hard rock tones.

Also if you are staying with the berg .. you can save a little cash by getting the HT112 non ER...
The 12s in those cabs extend up pretty high.. .. and the Tweeter is silky highs. .so one ER cab can really do OK with a second 112 non ER.
I hope that makes sense what i just said..
Either way . the Streamliner amps sounds great with the HT112er..

Any hands on reports vs the LM2/3? Ive been offered cash for my LM3 and I'm tempted to take a look at this.

Actually, I happened to have a chance to compare my SL900 to an LMIII through a Berg AE410 last week. I didn't have a whole lot of time to compare, but nothing shocking - the LM mids have more inherent texture, the VLE gives a comparable old-school top end feel, and the SL900 killed it in girth and heft.

Keep in mind that the SL will do a nice "modern" type of sound. The smoothness will be there if the tone is clean, but it gets nice and sharp up top if you want to go that route. Not LMIII bright, but bright enough for most players I would imagine.

If you want a little more brightness with the SL.. try clicking the Mid selector to the 2.5k setting and give it a little boost..

When using the SL i run my input about 11:00 which gives me a clean input tone with my bass. And with no boosting except the treble knob ,I find the top end to be clean and airy... not clanky treble at all. But more airy and open..
