I have an inside connection within GB that said if you plug your bass in the Streamliner and play backwards, your amp can double as teleporter. Amazing, I can't wait to go home and try it.

Hey, did anyone else hear that the StreamLiner 2.7K was due out this fall? Yeah, it's got dual tri-tube switchable preamps and three of the 900W power modules, which can be either independently controlled, or bridged into 4 ohms. I can't imagine such an amp!

Me either. My guess is that they'll cancel production plans at midnight tonight.

Matches up perfectly. Both the cab and head are 900 watts at 4ohms. With a P-Bass...

Just came back from a gig.

I brought my Streamliner 900, that i just received today. I played it through my NV412, and......daaamn!! This little thing is impressive!
I was playing my Nordy VJ5 and it was very fat, yet not boomy at all. The EQ was flat, and it sounded soo nice!
I was playing pretty loud, but the SL worked like a charm.

When i got it this afternoon i tested it through my Aggie GS212. And I liked it with that cab too. I don't know if that combo will be good in a band setting but soloed it sounded very nice.

My VTBP201s/ca9, is still my favourite so far, but the SL is one cool little head!

I see you have a DB750. I'm curious on how you would compare it side-by-side with the SL900, especially when it comes to the mids. When I had my DB750, I never touched the mid knob (or any knob), but with the SL900 I'm keeping it around 2-3 o' clock so I don't feel lost in the mix. Any thoughts on your experience?

Yup, fits either way, and I like the bag a lot. Has anybody noticed that the bag initially has a really nasty synthetic chemically smell to it? Kind of like a bad new-car smell.

That makes me feel a little better. I thought it was just mine! It doesn't seem to go away very fast either.

How about the GATOR bag.....got one for my LMII and it works pretty good.....

So I'm really thinking of getting that Streamliner 600 but will it really dethrone my Markbass LMII?
Is the 600 similar in tone to the LMII (just warmer because of the tubes)? Or.....lol....should I wait for the MB800? Then I'd have the possibility of 2 different rigs......

With the movable dividers you could make one compartment fit the SL and use the rest of the space for cables and whatnot. Given the dimensions given on the website you'd have to lay the SL on its side but you could have the knobs facing toward the middle. it might be too deep though. I wonder if there are any other camera bags out there with dimensions better suited to the streamliner.

It's been a while since i gigged the DB750. But i do remember that i usually have the deep switch on or a bit of bass boost on that one. Last night the SL was flat. But my enthusiasm is only based on on gig, so I wouldn't be able to really compare them yet. plus different stages is always doing different things to the sound, so I think you have to have both amps lined up at the same time to compare.

But I can say that I didn't have have any trouble beeing heard in the mix. But I probably don't go for cut through as much as punch through, and support with fattness.

Let me help you.

The Streamliner does not sound like anything MarkBass ever dreamed of making.

LMII - think dry nasally clank right up till it starts to squashy.

Streamliner - think having your bare foot down in a bucket full of warm honey.
