I bet. My 55-02 through the SL900/AE212 was killer, and I think the AE410 would kick it up another notch. I actually used the rear MM pickup solo'ed through thy rig, which I had never done before.

Yes, but it won't do the slappers sound as well, though it is all subjective.

My new Streamliner 900 and Berg AE210 arrived yesterday. Thanks Greg at RocketMusic - good deal, great service.

I'll spare you all the superlatives because I've only played it in my house and I'm at the very beginning of the honeymoon. I'll check back in after I've played it out a few times. For now, let me tell you I that I'm very impressed.

My current (previous?) micro rig is a TCE RH450 with two TC RS112 cabs. I've been very happy with that setup and had no logical reason to get the GB and Berg. Since when has that stopped any of us? I used to think G.A.S. was just a funny running joke, but am now convinced it is a real, chronic illness. I'd look for a cure if it wasn't so much fun. :D

I'll be doing some video comparisons of the two rigs, as I found KJung's and others to be a valuable resource. Thanks to everyone in this thread and others that have posted so much useful information.

right.

some guys like blondes, some brunettes, etc. i don't think people would get into rationalizing why one "is better than the other" in that arena.

it's all taste, we can spew specs, etc., but in the end it comes down to what floats your boat.

imho . . .

Congrats great rig. I wish I had the dough for the AE210 but had to get the GK NEO 115 III instead on sale with gift cards.

Regardless this amp makes a LOT of cabs sound much different than other amps. I'm really liking it.

Its EXACTLY as awesome is everyone says it is, the only ones disappointed are those expecting it to do everything.

I've loved my LMIII on every practice and gig that it's been on, and I'm quite enamored with the SL900 I picked up recently, although I've not gigged it yet. I've also liked my F500 and Shuttle 9.0, so I'd like to think I'm vendor-agnostic. I'd also like to think that we can all appreciate that healthy competition between builders benefits the industry, and that not all of us want the same sound.

+1, I have both Markbass and Genz-Benz heads, just different shades of good. I like to change up my basses from time to time and that also goes for my rigs and that's why I keep several, but right now I'm really enamored with the Streamliner.

I agree. Just got my Modulus Q5 back from repair tech (spring adjustments) and paired with a Berg cab and the SL 900 it sounds great. The Streamliner adds some good warmth to the clean, almost sterile Modulus. Nice super clean sound with warmth and that modern sound. Me likey.

I understand that slap tones (and other tones) are subjective, this is a great amp but it does not do Marcus. I agree with Greg and others that it would be nice to see a second amp (leave the streamliner alone) with more tone options like hi-mids, more slap hi's and a global tone shaper but keep it simple.

with an ash body J and maple neck and 4x10, you should be able to dial in Marcus (minus his hands) pretty readily.
