Genz-Benz Streamliner Part 6

I understand that slap tones (and other tones) are subjective, this is a great amp but it does not do Marcus. I agree with Greg and others that it would be nice to see a second amp (leave the streamliner alone) with more tone options like hi-mids, more slap hi's and a global tone shaper but keep it simple.

Like say something like a Shuttle 9.0 or even perhaps maybe a Shuttle 9.2.

Genz better get on the move. :D

Finally got a chance to put the Streamliner to the test with the Uber Quad. Its good! I really like the lowend of the cab.

[/QUOTE.

I'm torn between two Quads or an LDS 15/6 or an Avatar maybe? So many cabs so little time! Who makes and what are the pastel colored pedals in your photo Smallequestrian?

Just ordered from Rocket Music. Will be running my Lakland Daryll Jones Skyline through it to a pair of Aguilar GS-112 cabs! Very excited :hyper:. Will post a picture when it's all together!

Thanks for the *long* discussion thread on this amp - that really pushed me over the edge.

The SL through the GS112s will be a heavy sounding meat and potato rig..

Nice 600! Have you checked the name brand on those 12ax7's? I was just looking through the plexi and saw that I had 2 Ruby's and 1 JJ. That's kind of funny isn't it? I figured they'd use the same brand pre-amp tubes, what the hey, what do I know though.

I believe they all ship with a JJ ECC83 in V1 and two Ruby Chinese AX7's in V2 and V3.

I believe the Ruby's are those Select Tubes IIRC.

BTW for those that don't know if you don't get your JJ tubes from Bob at Eoro Tubes you may get a dud. Bob gets the cream of the crop. Everyone else gets whats left. New Sensor ships boatloads of bad JJ's on a regular basis.

I think I would like the JJ ECC803 better in V1. Of coarse I have the (real) Mullards and Blackburns in my Streamliner. :)
