anyone in NJ have one of these i can try? Russo music is a benz dealer but they dont have one in stock and buyer isnt going to buy one unless he gets more requests. all you NJ guys call them up and make the request!

Robbie's Music in Wayne NJ is a Showroom Dealer....so, they should have one in stock.

all the inputs can move quite a bit....the way they "clip" in.

Try seating the plug again. On most of the amps, when you think it is seated, it isn't. It watch the plug as you seat it. Then, give it another, quite firm push with steady pressure. You should see it move in even further.

For crying out loud, why me?!

This amp sounds great...I really like the mids im getting and the treble is there but not overly clacky.

But, and this is a big but, is anyone else finding the power supply input at the back moved a little?! I was happy playing, then I moved the amp a tiny bit, and it crackled and went off. Then, I tried putting the power lead in as far as it would go, hoping it was merely my error, and it seems even the SLIGHTEST touch to the power lead and it all shuts off and crackles.

Why me indeed! Dont get me wrong, it sounds amazing, SO much bass its unreal! But, Im guessing im in for yet another swap over.

WHEW! Dang powerful amp. I think I blew a tweeter in one of my RS210 cabs at last nites gig......or my hearing went out even more. :atoz:

Going back for more, :bassist: gonna try it with the Neox 212T, oldies gig tonite, should be quieter. Good. :hmm:

Thanks, tried pushing it in hard...goes no further. The plug obviously moves a little, but the actual whole input/power on switch moves out of the chassis by a few mm. Tried it with another plug, started to crackle like mad and the lights flashed on and off..the power was going on and off.

Also noticed whilst playing I think the plug is causing an issue because there are clicks occurring whilst not playing...tried another cable/bass, same thing.

My dealer got back to me, think we are gonna play it safe and get another...can't have it going on and off in a gig,

:(

I'm seriously considering selling the Eden head I have been playing since 96 and picking up a Streamliner. (totally different tone areas, I know).

Has anyone been using gain effects in front of their SL yet? I know the amp can have its own inherent OD tone, but how does it react to pedals? I am currently running 3 levels of gain (mild OD, Distortion, and Fuzz with a clean blend) and would love to know if anyone has been running a similar setup and how it has been working for them.

I'm running all my pedals through the front of my 900 and they seem to run clean.
I can give you the breakdown, if you want.

I'd appreciate that, especially if you are using some gain. My impression is that most tube amps have a sweetness to them (horrible horrible subjective term) when hit with gain effects that SS just can't match. I know the SL isn't a full tube amp, but I am also pretty sure that the 3 tubes and the power section effect the tone more that the one tube in my Eden.

Todays find. I was at Ross and found a thick padded lap top bag with reinforced corners for my GB Streamliner. It also has a retractable shoulder harness that rolls up as soon as you put it down. It fits like a glove. Also found a strap that I can keep installed on my cab for securing my Streamliner. $30 for the bag.

My Streamliner 900 is in stock in my local music store and I'm paying off the rest of what I owe on it this week, really excited about picking it up! What kind of headphones are you guys using with the Streamliner? I've never had an amp with headphone capability before and the only kind of headphones I have are my ipod ones.

That's a tight set-up.
How did you know the amp would fit? Just measurements?
Great find.

From #1:

Korg Pitchblack
VT Bass-Trying hard not to use it and find the SL's beauty.
MXR-BOD
MXR-BEF
Digitech-BSW
EBS-MulitComp
Tech 21-XXL Bass
Hardwire CR-7 Chorus-Probably be traded-out

I really am trying not to use any of them and do the discovery on the SL, but they play nicely through the front.
That XXL sounds meaty with the Gain pushed-in on the SL.
The Funky Trio-BOD, BEF and BSW, sound awesome through it.

Nice find! I'm happy with the Gigskinz but $30 is a great price.

And what's the strap? I like that, turns it into a combo. Also finally, a good use for those wanky GB top handles, which I've been trying to love but I just can't... :(:hiding:

Way to save some bucks Dude. I go to Goodwill and find padded laptop bags for 6 bucks that work for micros. My streamliner is ridin in real padded leather. (gangsta whitewalls tv antennae in the back) optional.;)

I have run VT Bass and it sounds good though I'm selling it as I got a Source Audio Multiwave Bass Distortion and that sounds *sick* through the S900 and better fits what I'm trying to do at the moment. The tubes seem to round out the synthy distortion to give a really cool set of tones.

Totally wish I was US based with this issue. Nothing open til Tuesday and need an amp now. My SL900 definitely isn't right I've had some other UK chaps check theirs and they don't have the actual power socket / switch housing moving :(

Gonna probably be a week until it's sorted.
