Hell to the yeah! Ken, if you don't own it already, go to some online store right now and pickup jamiroquai's "Emergency on Planet Earth". It's all P bass, and some of the best, funkiest playing out there by Mr. Paul Turner. Here's a video of Jamiroquai/Turner at Abbey Road. His tone on a P bass just kills me.

+1 I know ALL about Mr. Turner from all the time I spend on the Alleva-Coppolo thread. And THAT is a P Bass tone I can love. GREAT clip! Thanks for posting that!

I have to second to that! I absolutely love the tunes.

Actually, I should correct myself. The video is Paul Turner, but Zender was the bassist on "Emergency". Still great playing and a wonderful P bass tone. This was before he had a Warwick deal if I recall correctly. It's been a while.

Got an email from Greg at Rocket Music this afternoon. As expected, the first batch of Streamliners gets to them Monday and they will ship 'em out ASAP.

And Don is about to start my LDS 15/6 so I'd say life is pretty good right now.

Sorry if they've been posted and I havn't seen them, but are there any audio or video clips of the Streamliner online yet?
I should have a clip or two up either Thursday or Friday on my Youtube channel, along with my typical over-compulsive early review:D.

These just started shipping, so TBers who pre ordered will start to get theirs starting today (Saturday) through next week, depending on location and shipping times from their dealers.

My hunch is that the guy who got "the deal" either is a regular customer or hit the shop up on the right place/right time. At any rate, I give my money to small independent shops who provide great customer service. "Value" encompasses more than just price.

I am the guy who got the Streamliner 900 for $749 and that is the same price to everyone, all the time. I know for a fact Mike at Ye Old Music in Charleston has taken 12 orders from fellow TB's over this last week at this price. he is a GB dealer, and stands behind his products 110%. His prices are ALWAYS 10-15% lower than any internet or street price. I got a 50th anniversary jazz from him for $1600 when everywhere else they were $2000. The guy is a musician and loves the business he is in.

Oh - and I get no special treatment for passing on this great price, except he did give me a GB t-shirt last time I was in :)

'Nuff said? :bassist:

For those interested in the Streamliner 600

Using the same price ratio as the Streamliner 900, the 600 would only run a whooping $621. That's cheaper than a Shuttle 6.0, Aguilar TH 500, or SWR headlite! That being said, I've yet to call and ask what the price would be.

Also another batch of Streamliners are in QC from what i understand... So more should ship next week from what i gather...

I shot much of the Streamliner demo today, I'll go back tomorrow and shoot some "B roll" stuff and start editing. And since this demo doesn't have to wait for the publication of a magazine, it will hopefully be online by mid next week!

All I can say is - the more I play this amp, the more I love it. You'll hear!

Awesome Ed! I am really looking forward to it.

Will you be gracing us soon with a review of the Max 9.2 as well?
