GenzBenz Streamliner Pt 8...

Yup, it brings two tonally opposite tonal design goals together for some awesome versatilty

If I want all warmth I'll pair the Streamliner with the Epifani, if I want in your face hi-fi funk I'll pair the GKs with a LM, GK or my Eden amp.

Total tonal flexibility... but again I like meeting in the middle with GK NEOs & Streamliner... best of both worlds the Streamliner warmth which is excessive with some settings make the GK NEO warm while the NEOs can make a Streamliner act like a Shuttlemax almost when cutting bass & mids at 220K.

This is very interesting as i've been thinking about pairing my STL600 with either the GK neo 115 or a Peavey Tour VB-115 not sure which way to go. I eventually want a 2-115 stack.

This thread needs some photos !! :) to liven it up..
My friend sent this to me the other day..
I was doing a country gig with my Uber 115 and Streamliner 900 and Sad PJ5...
Sounded perfect
Drummer has gigged and recorded with Santana, Dwight Yokum and Natalie Cole.. He just rocks!!!

Any guitar center has GK so they are pretty easy to try out. The list sale this weekend is a great time to check em out.

I'm happy with the tone I'm getting out of the combo. If left to just my Epifani & the Streamliner I would have sold the Streamliner like others have, way too much mud with that cab. The NEO is a better match. I can't speak for the Peavey at all.

Good luck & my order has shipped already, next week! Sweet!

Much as I love my Bergie HT112/EX112 mini stack

Yes, I have that exact setup with a SL600, and love it.
Just for a thrill, I hooked my amp up to my venerable
EV B215M and was blown away. Big bottom (although not
as low as the mini stack). Sweet top end with the 6" mid driver.

but . . . . does not fit in the trunk of my Toyota Corolla :-)

Like Tunaman (and you) I'm hoping my mid/low-mid focussed cabs will match well with the Streamliner. My amp's in transit, so, I'm chompin' at the bit to find out. EV B215M. I know that cab. Used to have the single 15 version. Must have been 100lbs. Great cab, but unwieldy. Yeah... not Corolla-friendly.

I've been following this thread since the Streamliner rumors started and I'm intrigued by this amp. I'm about to receive a fEARful 12/6/1. Any thoughts about whether this would be a good pairing? I know there are at least several happy TB153/STM users and probably some fEARful users too. I would welcome your comments.

A couple happy nearful owners in my general vicinity, using the streamliner, including me. Blues and vintage rock SB-2 with flats mostly. Check "kesslari" tb member. He posted a live fretless funk clip recently. Nice tone.

Thanks. Now that you mention it, I do remember kesslari's clip. And I remember that it sounded great. I was just wondering if the fullness of both the fEARful and the Streamliner paired together might be a bit much. But that's what the knobs are for.

I have the 900/TC115 combo. At the risk of repeating myself (I mentioned this a couple pages back maybe) it sounds a whole lot like a B15N with a ton more headroom on tap. It has both the "give" and the "girth" in the tone. I think a single 15 is a great option to explore with this amp, and would love to be able to find an Uber 115 to test drive.

Streamliner Uber 115 is a Great Combination!

Lets not go down that road please.

Nothin missing about the power of either the Streamliner or Shuttle. Both are unbelievable into a small (light in the britches) 8 ohm cab. The proof is in the pudding.

BTW Kirk nice pics. I like me some pics post all you can.
