I am playing show #3 with my band tomorrow, where I will be rocking my MG800 and BA12-3 Pair, along with my lovely Musicman Caprice and AMD Fender Dimension V HH. Have really been working on dialing in great tones, and my Genzler rig has been holding up its end marvelously! Hope to have some decent recordings to share with you all.
Wish i had not seen this- looks like they have their Genzler stuff as “closeout”. A MG800 and a BA12-3 (the last one) are headed my way...

Thanks, my local dealer has one coming... Spoke to him the other day about it...
I have 2 shen pro lt with the dual channels, tube pre and 12"..... Had them for years...used them for everything from light bass work, to mandolin , acoustic guitar and clean jazzy electric...
looking forward to hearing the new stuff...

I am about to retire my old Eden WT head and large Eden 4x10 cabinet that I purchased over 20 years ago. They have given me incredible service but the head now requires an expensive repair and the cabinet is simply too large and heavy.
A few months ago I had the great experience of visiting the Sadowsky showroom in NYC and spent a couple of hours auditioning basses through a Genzler rig that they had there. I was very impressed and although can't remember the exact configuration I believe it was the 800W amp through some version of BA cabinet. I am now thinking of replacing my tired Eden rig with a Genzler amp and single cabinet. I am trying to decide between the two amps and the 2x10 or 1x12 and could use some advice about what to consider between these two cabinets/amps. I am playing quite small venues now (small bars and cafes) but I do need to compete with 2 guitarists and keyboards as well as the drums. I play both 4 and 5 string basses (about equal time on each).

I would defer to others as I am new to the world of Genzler (haven't gigged it yet) and like you, back to TB after many years away. But speculatively I would think you need the MG800 and at least the 2x10, if not two 1x12s. Going from 4 drivers down to 1 will have a big affect on volume/perceived volume and the air being pushed. 1x12 may be enough for small coffee shop and lounge type gigs but won't give you the headroom you are used to going up against drums and two amplified guitars.
I also had an Eden 410XLT. Beast of a cab and i loved it but sold it to get a Bergantino NV215. I still have the Berg but bought a Genzler 12-3 a while ago as I was also tired of lugging around a 100 pound cab. I'm powering the 12-3 with a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0. I have an 8 piece Motown/Soul band with a heavy handed drummer. I run through the PA for any sized venue and use the 12-3 as my stage monitor though it would do fine carrying a small room even with my drummer. The 12-3 is a great cab. Just bought a second one (see pic a few posts above) for bigger outdoor stages. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with the 12-3
