I know it’s not on trend these days, but I’d love a big single cab solution from Genzler. My SWR 6x10 has been my ride or die cab for 15+ years now, but it’s getting a little long in the tooth.

Yes, I could run a 410+210, but I greatly prefer single cab solution for loud, raucous hardcore that doesn’t always have adequate FOH support. I know the typical hot-take is “punk rock/hardcore doesn’t need good tone, just thrash, bro”, but nah, son. And yes, I could just go Ampeg 8x10, but I don’t want to. I love my MG800, and would like to keep it in the family!

The Genzler 4x10 Array though it has two less drivers than your SWR should be able to out preform it.
Give it a shot before thinking you need the other two drivers.

Pretty sure three BA12-3 will get you there!

quick question for you guys. Which pedals do you all use and why. Comps, envelopes, what else can't you live without? Was looking at the pic above with the EH soul food and got me wondering. I know this is the Genz forum but I guess it's kind of appropriate as it all comes down to tone through the gear. Thanks for the input

Here is my pedalboard. Shure GLXD16 into the TC Tuner into the Keeley Bassist Limiting into the pedal Switcher. The little switch is for channel switching on the MG800. Then the Darkglass B7KU- TC Vortex- Keeley Seafoam Plus- Keeley Caverns 2. The Bassist and B7KU are always on. The switcher lets me add the other pedals as needed. Simple but functional!

This is my “most of the time” signal chain for my current project. Basically all dirt, with the B7K on all the time, just like @Joeykun

I have other pedals: delay, reverb, synth, envy filters, etc, but they only really join the party during the creation phase/jamming at home.

This is my current pedal setup. I’ve got a ton of other stuff not being used currently as well, including several different fuzzes and synths.

Korg Pitchblack -> Empress Compressor -> Badger Schism Loop Selector -> {Loop 1: Markbass Super Synth -> MXR Bass Blowtorch} -> EHX Bass Clone -> Darkglass Alpha-Omega Ultra -> DSP Decimator -> TC Electronic Spark Boost

Among my not currently being used pile:

- Korg G5
- Way Huge Pork & Pickle
- Way Huge Swollen Pickle
- Ibanez SB7 Bass Synth
- Ibanez PD7 Overdrive
- Bogdan Polish Love Overdrive
- EHX Small Clone

I’m sure there’s some other stuff I’m forgetting.

Edit: Oh yeah, and I just picked up an EHX Mono Synth which is pretty bad, sadly.

I got rid of all my pedals and use a line6 hx stomp. I had a line6 a while back and didn't like the sound, but this one, it sounds great. I play in a 80's cover band, so it's nice to have presets for lots of different stuff. And I think these cabs are great for it. It does take some work though, since none of the presets are any good. Easy to carry though!

I had to share my experience with the MG800/BA410-3 at this huge auditorium I played on Friday. No IEMs for this one so it was all stage volume. This little package put out so much sound it was amazing. The room itself was boomy but I had no issues hearing myself all over that big stage. To boot, it was so clear and punchy! At ear level it sounded unbelievable and really projected. A few moments during our performance we had over a 70 piece Concert Band playing and 20 Chorus girls singing and I could still here my amp with no problem. These BA cabs are really something special. The are truly a do it all cab. I’ve been using the GB Uber 410/210 cabs for over 9 years and thought I would never need anything else. Well, The BA410-3 changed that. I feel the evenly dispersed sound and the clear representation (at any volume) of my bass from these BA cabs are the best thing I’ve heard to date.

Thank you Jeff for continuing to come out with innovating products for us Bass players!! These BA cabs are a winner!!!!

@Joeykun, no doubt the BA410-3 can handle it!! Our band is on schedule to play at a city sponsored outdoors event in June and I’m just anxious to get my BA410-3 in that action! I can’t take it into the smaller venues we play in because it is too much cabinet, plus the Little Monster (350 Combo) with the BA12-3 rules there!

Hey guys - proud Magellan 800 and BA112 user. I'm thinking of trying something tubier with my Bass Arrays. I like the Drive channel on the Magellan but would like to go a little farther down that path.​

Is there another amp that might fit the bill? I am thinking of maybe picking up a Streamliner 900. Has anyone tried these with the Genzler cabs? What about the Mesa Prodigy? Anything else worth considering?

You might want to look at Demeter Bass 400 or the GK MB800 Fusion.

The streamliner was tubier than the Mesa buster all tube head I had. Reacts well to tube swaps as well.
