Are you able to compare it to any other 410's? I'm looking for a cab that can do it all, anything from old school flatwound P bass to bright maybe a little distorted Jazz or Rickenbacker type sound and anywhere in between. I play anything from blue and jazz to hard rock with a variety of basses although Fender Precision (P/J) has been my #1 for a lot of years.

I was a 12 inch driver devotee for years. Owned several by diff manufacturers. Currently own 2 of the 12-3 arrays, which I use for country gigs (4-5 strings with flats). I bought the 410 to play in a rock setting. 4-5 string Active Jazz bass with rounds. I have played several 410s in Backline situations. Many were good. But when I first played my 410 array after unboxing, it was absolutely the Rock Tone I was after. Haven’t found the right band yet, but have the rig to go that direction.

I’ve been a 10’s guy for most of my career....Mesa Boogie, Epifani, Genz Benz. All these cabs had tweeters and really sizzled up top.

When I got my BA410-3 it was a total different beast. Nice round bottom and smooth, even mids and highs. However the cab doesn’t color your sound. It projects what you feed it in an amazing way.

If you like the high end grind, set your SVT EQ to that tone and the BA410 will do just great. Want that old school P tone. It will do that with ease. The Array cabs take EQ and effects very well.

I use the Magellan 800 head with mine. And between the 2 channels I can achieve the tones you describe. You will not be disappointed. And at 50 lbs and the amount of punch this cabs delivers, it’s a no brainer. Do it!

I seem to prefer 10's as well. I used a 410 (with a 210 on top :bassist:) for about a year in a loud horn band. Then I went to a GB Shuttle 3.0-10T with and extra 110 for a mini stack. Used that until about a year ago whenI got the MG350 combo where the one 10 is enough for me right now.

I did start with a BA12-3 and it is a sweet cab, but I just wanted something smaller. If I ever play out more using an amp, I'd probably get another BA10-2 just for some head room and a little more surface area I guess.

I don't know what I like about 10's, but that's what Ive used for a long time.

The BA410-3 shoots for that "blank canvas" response, and it is a very, very flexible cab. IME/IMHO, you can cover all the ground you are looking for - and cover it well! - with the BA410-3. :thumbsup:

I don't know what type music you are playing and how big the band is or if you have FOH support or not, but the BA410-3 is a beast!!! It should do well with SVT head!!!

I'm in a strange place when it comes to cabinets, and I don't know how I got here except from curiosity, but I have two Greenboy cabinets, the Genzler 350 Combo, a BA12-3 cabinet and the BA410-3. Since I've had the BA410-3 I've only used it twice for indoor gigs and it was more than what I needed, but the band is on schedule for several outdoor gigs this summer and early fall, so I'm prepared for those using the MG800.
I haven't taken the Greenboy's out since I got the 350 Combo, and I like to stack it with the BA12-3. This is the best option for most of my gigs aside of my home church gigs, where I use the house Avatar cabinets and go DI using the MG800.
To me the 350 Combo fits well for small area practices and gigs. I pair it with a BA12-3 for more punch and bottom, and the BA410-3 with the MG800 is available for anything requiring much more!

Thanks, I live here for most of the year now and it will be cheaper to bring it on a plane than to have it shipped I'm pretty sure, will cost 300.00 to bring it over on the plane.
