Rig update:
I'll be honest, I've been smitten by this set up right here....

Added a BA 12-3 STR last week and just got my covers so I can bring these out into the world. Powerful, light, beautiful...gives me a super high-quality sonic canvas to create bass tones, as sometimes I need bite and sometimes I need thump (and everything in between). Haven't used this all together in a band situation yet but I am playing outdoors next weekend and will be debuting this set up. Used the BA 12-3 SLT at rehearsal this week and it delivered amazing tone. So happy with this set up.

I know this was discussed here elsewhere but can someone refresh me on the type of foot switch needed and what the wiring is for the channel select foot switch. Is it TR or TRS? Any recommendations on a small one?

I know this is an older post, but, FWIW, just about any latching switch will work. I use an old Marshal, TRS, 2-button switch and it does fine. It's just that the other button doesn't do anything. You can press the non-functioning button every once in a while and people will start listening closer to your bass lines.

Anyway, looking at basehead's rig, has anyone mounted a 350 to a 12-3?

certainly can be done, but you'd be responsible for drilling the holes into the top of the 12-3. They are not there already as they are in the combo.

These are the ones I use. There’s a few different heights, not sure if these are the ones Genzler uses, probably this brand though.

I'm thinking of going with the plastic stacking corners, although they seem unrefined compared to the cab.

For stacking cabs, in my experience they're fine, but one of my biggest gear pet peeves is cabs without feet opposite handles (Genzler isn't the only ones- I added feet to all my Aguilar cabs when I had them, and my Markbass 210 combo has them on both ends). I'm an "all in one trip" guy, so I'll carry two cabs at a time, and there's always sometime when you have to put them down on a "less than ideal" surface.

That being said, I did have to drill holes for the feet closest to the grill- the rear ones I just used existing ones from the metal corners, but the front ones were going to hit the grill and all, so I got to use some power tools

Ouch....Don't go drilling holes in your cabs now, just to make a GENZLER 12" based combo. That just hurts to think about it.

I think I saw somewhere that the MG350 head can run safely without any speaker cabinets plugged in, for instance if using it as a DI only. Is that correct? I tried searching for this topic, but I must not have used the right search terms.

Yep.

Jeff noted that and fixed it with the top handle.

The reason I was thinking about the stacking corners isn't as much about stacking as protecting the cabs from all angles to protect from things like banging doors, etc. Of course. I made custom covers, but the point is still valid.

Yes, I’ve used my M800 as DI only a few times.

With the mg800 and mg350, does the volume control on the clean channel have any effects other than volume? Any increased dirt or harmonics or ???

Why not just use stick on rubber feet? That way no perminant cabinet mod required...
