I'm using a Fender Rumble 210 as well, sounds fantastic but I am sure with some Genzler cabs it will sound so much better.

Anybody compared the MG 112 to the MG 112 tall? Just wondering how they compare and if there is any benefit to having one of each for a combo. I suppose you could go with two of the taller models for an even taller stack.

Hey Genzler fam! My band is up to our necks recording our debut album, and in the meantime we’ve just soft released our first single from the record.
I would love to share it with you fine folks!
The song is called “Blinding Lights”, and it was written mainly by me.
Blinding Lights, by Signal Static
Bass was recorded using my Musicman Caprice through a combination of an Empress Compressor, MXR Blowtorch, and a Way Huge Pork & Pickle.
All of that was recorded using three separate tracks - DI out of my MG800, an EV RE-20 capturing one of my BA12-3 cabs, and a clean DI from my bass using a JDI.

I just pulled the trigger on a MG800. I’m so excited. I haven’t been able to play one but I have heard mostly good things about them.
I’ve had my MG800 for a few years and it is truly an amazing amp. I’m sure you will be very pleased.

Yep, our guitar player lived in Germany for awhile, and he used to help out at the studio where his brother still works.
It’s a really cool and very busy analog studio, and we got an amazing deal on the mixing.
My new Magellan 350 arrived today. I didn't have much time to test it out. But I set the amp flat and plugged into my Fender rumble 210 cabinet. The tone was instantly glorious!
Ive not played either, but i have a Fender Rumble 800HD head arriving this week. This was second choice to a Magellan 800 head. Cheaper and just as many good reviews. I wanted the Magellan for its sweepable Mids but wanted to keep costs down (replacing a Quilter BB800).
Just wondering if i made the right choice. Anyone used both heads? Any comments will help as i can send the Fender back within 30 days.

How much did you pay for the Rumble? Granted you're going to pay more in the UK. Also, I looked and tried the Quilter. What was the issue you had with it?
I paid £485 for the Fender from Thomann's. The Magellan is £749 here in the UK. I tried to stop the Fender order but it was too late. Might be for the best.
I just felt the BB800 just wasnt doing it for me. I know its well respected, and at first i loved it, but the tone just never really hit the spot. I was coming from a GK MB800, which i felt has more life to it. The idea was to go flat and use my Helix for tone, but i also want to have a head that works without that. I also looked at the Fender and GM because of the two channel feature, which i prefer over doing it in the Helix, and more so the GM for the mid control.
Everyone has their price point. I couldn't afford a Genzler at first, but initially wasted $$ on TC, GK and Fender. Those sounds were "meh". If you are serious about a flexible head that can punch out whatever tone you need, and most importantly cut through a mix and reproduce the sound you are imparting to the instrument, I wouldn't put Genzler in any category other than its own.
It's definitely not a money thing, i can afford the GM if its worth the extra to me. I was just wondering if anyone could point out the differences between the two, tone wise. Obviously those that have used both and not just reading specs or just the one and think its the best in the world lol.

I can't comment on the Rumble 800 head, but I do have a Rumble 500, which is pretty much the same amp, just more powerful. The Rumble is a great amp, I used it for years, both live and in the studio, before getting an MG800.
The Rumble tends to lean towards a vintage tone, even with everything set to neutral and the contour buttons disengaged. I don't think it does clean and clear as well the MG800, which is very transparent with everything set to neutral. The MG800 can also do vintage as needed.
So, I believe the MG800 can do everything the Rumble can do, and plenty that the Rumble can't. I have relegated my Rumble 500 to the rehearsal studio while I take the MG800 out for gigs.
