That's what I ended up going with. One of my bands started playing a song with overdrive/distortion on bass and I really didn't want to lose a place on my mini-pedalboard for one song! Yeah, there's no light on the Fender footswitch, but it is as small as you can get and I am assuming it still changes the light colour at the amp, so there is still an indicator of some sort.

There are some cool latching switches available on Reverb for very reasonable prices... no connections with any of the sellers.

here's one with an LED that unfortunately ships from Australia Micro Latching Footswitch w/ LED | Loopi Pedals

and another without in the US Saturnworks Single Latching Amp or Device Switch -- Replaces Marshall P801, FS-5L, Red Remote

and one that has an externally powered LED... Saturnworks Amp / Device Latching Switch w/ Externally Powered LED Replaces FS-5L Red Remote + More

See, what had happened was...I actually had an MG800, and I loved it, BUT, I was hellbent on getting my band to go ampless at that time, so I sold a bunch of stuff to get myself ready for that. Needless to say, I failed spectacularly in that endeavor, and I ended up with no amp! A sad state of affairs, indeed. Once it became obvious I was losing this battle, I figured I'd put together a hella stage rig to make myself feel better, LOL! I'll make my way back to an MG800, but there are a few other amps I'd like to try out.;)

BTW, the cabs sounded even better on Saturday night! :thumbsup:

Just did four tracks with my band, Anoint the Sick. Like our last ep that I posted on here, I used the Genzler MG800.

Last EP, I just used the direct out of the MG800. This time around, we used the DI on the Genzler, and we also mic’d up the MG800 pushing my trusty old SWR 6x10 (I know, not Genzler, but I love that cab). Blending the two gave some pretty gnarly distorted tones while maintaining low end clarity. The last EP was a minimum effort, DIY affair that came out pleasantly listenable (if you’re into hardcore). This time around, we’re putting a liiiittle more effort, not much, but hey, two bass signals and a few punch ins/second and third takes!
I’ll post em here when they’re done!

^^^ Experiment with the eq settings. Seems you are cutting a lot of low mids. The Magellan amp has so many great tones even with all the knobs at noon. The Contour can add that scoop if that’s what your after.

That eq along with the contour will be very heavily scooped! will be good for slap maybe and probably sounds great by itself but when you go live with a band - mids can be your friend. I usually boost them slightly to cut through and add a touch of chest pounding. You would be surprised how high up the eq band you go to get that slap in the chest feeling...

Magellan 350 question - is it difficult to clip? I maxed the input and saw no clipping light. I think the Clip light is post EQ though and I had the EQ flat.

EDIT: Turned up some bass on the bass and the amp and hit it hard and got a brief clip, so the light does work. The 350 appear to have a higher threshold to clipping than other amps I own / have owned.

I’m curious, did you have a chance to compare the MG12TV with a 12-3? I’m getting ready to make a purchase. I had a chance to play with an 800 and a 12-3 and loved it. I just don’t know what the MG12TV is like in comparison. Any comments or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

No, I just played a few notes on the 12TV and it did what I wanted, so I took it home. I was looking for quality and good tone at lower volumes. I have a Subway stack if I nee coo turn up, but at home that's just overkill.
