going to create an IR with an Audio technica 2040 but want to capture the tweeters too...
I guess I will experiment quite a lot to get what I’m looking for - was hoping someone else had gone through the miking process and had some pointers... will post results for those who are capturing a direct signal but want it to sound like a miked BA...
@Loring --- if you've got the capabilities you could mic each component separately and do a blend --- 1 mic on the woofer and one up close to the array. For general micing I always recommend placing the mic approx 1 foot away from the cab and at an approx 45 degree angle for the center of the cab. This would catch coverage from the woofer and the array in a blended fashion. That usually works for live settings.
