I have a single 15-3. Love it! IMHO, this cab is a game changer. Am considering adding another 15-3, but now after Jeff’s post considering the 210-3. Jeff’s post about the SLT on the bottom and straight on top and baffle/array alignment, really has me thinking. I do like 10’s and have used them exclusively in the past. Confused and stuck with which combo would be the best for which sound quality I would like to achieve. Choices, choices! At least is great to have so many super offerings from Jeff to choose from, thanks again Jeff for these outstanding products!@dwellers ----- I also think this is one of the best combinations we offer. I too like the punch of the 2x10 cab up on top of the BA15-3SLT. And the flexibility you mention with 2 different types of cabs --- for your various needs or tonal moods. My personal favorite is the BA210-3 (straight) on top of the slanted BA15-3SLT. Like any of our SLANT/STRAIGHT combinations, I like the SLANT on the floor and STRAIGHT on top. This makes both baffles in the same 6 degree "slanted plane" which aligns the baffles in a direct couple, along with both arrays. This is totally subjective and many like different variations but that's just me..
I don't have any experience with anything other than the 12-3, and I have 3 of them and they sound delicious. A question, I have 1 slant and 2 straights. Which order do you think I should stack those. So far I've just put the slant on the very top but thinking maybe putting it at the bottom and slanting the whole stack.... Or maybe in the middle??
I’m really interested in the my 212t. Any chance that it is loaded with the new faital pro 12fe300? Good looking driver.
Excuse the ignorance - I'm leaning toward the NC210 + NC112 stack but is there any concern about running both cabs with the MG800 given the 112 is rated for 300 watts? Is it a "you'll have to watch your volume" situation or am I overthinking?
So which of the the NU Classic cabs did you prefer Joeykun? They are certainly different than the Bass Array cabs you are accustomed to...
Not at all. The Magellan with the NC210T/112T is big & punchy! And, those cabs sound great together with volume!!
Remember cab watts are thermal rating and there is no one to one comparison with an amp’s output power. I doubt if you would ever wish to run the MG800 full blast wide open through the cabs - the SPL would likely be damaging to the ear, the environment, and small dogs. In any loud environment, with any amp, with any cabs - always listen for speaker distress. Thanks - so I wouldn't need to be concerned about damaging the 112 since it seems I'd be running 400 watts into it if I use the 112 and 210 together with the MG800?
