I have dropped a hint a couple times for an updated "Streamliner" from back in the day. I know people love their MG350's and 800's, but I think there may be a market for a 6 pound "tube" amp. I could be wrong.

I just think a tube head that could mount on my 12T-V cab would be awesome. Very "B-15" like. Make a bigger version for you guys that need all that power and speaker surface area.

I have had some time today to spend playing (albeit alone at a fairly low volume) and have some observations:
1. It did not take long to dial in my sound. I gave each bass (Tbird, Pbass, Spector LT and Gibson Tribute shorty) a quick run through but spent most of my time with the Tbird.
2. I was quite sure that Contour B would be my home...I was wrong. Contour A at about 10 o'clock, bass flat and treble flat and mid controls both at about 2 o'clock work perfectly for the Tbird.
3. The drive channel is awesome. I went from a little dirt to full on Jack Bruce and was happy with the possibilities across the spectrum.
4. The "native" tone of the amp is just very pleasing. Articulate, present...I don't know how to properly describe it. It has a certain weight to the tone. Just great.

Looking forward to Sunday with a full band!

The 15 is "Da Bomb"

We finally had our first rehearsal last night and I got to use my new BA 15. Now that's a cab! We were rusty as crud but I was in tone heaven all night. Looking forward to when things open up.
I think I will sell off one of my 12's, keep one for practice, and add a 210 when funds allow.

You might switch to B with a full band - hard to say, your Spector already cuts and a P can be mid heavy but you might find the t bird will cut better... I play with two pickups usually which induces a bit of scoop as some mids will cancel as a result, and sometimes I will switch to B to cut through a bit more. When on my bass pickup (usually a P) A seems to be fine. None of my bass pickups would be as dark as your T bird though. Let us know once you get to use your amp in anger!

The slant?

Going for a 4 stacker? lol

As much as I loved the original 12 when I first got it I do prefer the slant over it. In my 15/12 testing its close but the slant to my ears still wins out.
....so, if you want to make an low ball offer on my straight the ears are listening..... lol got to spend that cerb money somehow.

Just did 2 more gigs at the same restaurant/lounge that I've played a dozen or so times in the last month and a half (pics a few pages back). Still using the MG350/MG12T-V combo, but this time the band has grown to two electric guitars, me, female singer and drums. Three voices in the PA, no instruments.

I've been using the MG350 with everything flat since that tone has been perfect. Just for grins I dialed in the mids at 150hZ and bumped it slightly to 1 o'clock. That put some punch in the tone for sure (not that it needed it). The preamp volume was at noon (no clip light even with the strongest notes) and the master volume was about 10 o'clock. The combo still had plenty of reserve. The tone both punched through and provided support for the band, just perfect!

I keep thinking about the Nu Classic line and the BA cabs, then I gig the MG12T-V...

I thought maybe the new cabs would make me question my MG350/12T-V rig, but I know when I play it for a jazz quartet gig outside next weekend that I’ll be amazed at the sound and volume it will produce.
