I have a fairly unique combination set up right now for my learning and listening phase with the 4OTF. I have it in the effects loop of my early 90's vintage Alembic F-1X preamp. Oh man.. what a pairing! It is the perfect sonic compliment to the F-1X. Very, very versatile range of tones. Any of you new 4OTF owners, who happen to have an F-1X, must try the combination! I wish I'd had the 4OTF years ago when I was gigging the rack.

Most of you who now have the 4OTF have figured this out, but I'll mention for anyone who hasn't gotten one yet that you can more readily figure out the Drive bandpass and the 4 OD types if you turn down clean volume completely, run your drive volume up to half or more, a good amount of drive, and then adjust the bandpasses. It's pretty easy to hear their effect if you don't have any clean signal present.

Loving the 4 on the Floor, Jeff and Andy. Looking forward to the next pedal design! Any teasers?

Jeff created 2 amps for different scenarios. For big shows and not so big shows. That's why I own both.

For the restaurant gigs I do, those are with different musicians and I use the MG350 with 2 BA10-2s and it's great.

Remember, the BA12-3 is also more efficient than the 10. I have not used 2 BA12-3s with the MG350.

With this statement I made, there was one VERY important factor I left out. Because of Covid, all our gigs have been outside and with no PA support. Some musicians feel "more free" and volume isn't a concern (or they're losing their hearing).

I like reporting my gear experiences in an actual band setting, not at home or at the store. There were times when I thought gear sounded great and then get buried in a band setting or don't set well in the mix invading another instrument's sonic space.

The Genzler rigs I have do a fantastic job of sounding great in both environments!

I think Jeff must have gone to ONE Dead show in the day...maybe this is where seeds were planted? Carbon-14 dating says maybe the RFK shows in '73 or '86.

What was great was we needed a refresher on some tunes. Just pulled out the iPod and plugged it in the aux and listened to them that way. Super cool. I think these cabs could work as PA speakers haha they’re so clear.

I've used my mg800 and ba12-3 as an amp for my Lowden acoustic and loved it. I expect they would make excellent FOH cabs

I have no issues, but that's because I run a Polytune3 Mini in always-on (no mute) mode first in chain.

But I am rather unaware of these things so maybe I'm missing something: what would a tuner input (or maybe an output to send a split signal to one is what you meant?) provide for you/how would you use it compared to a normal tuner pedal or what I have going? (Legit curious question)

You know, about two years ago, I think it was the end of July 2019, I was playing a gig at a jazz club in Beverly, MA, and while loading out, I saw your band’s name on the marquee at a place across the street. Sadly, the performance date was a couple days later, after I was already scheduled to be back in DC. I wish I could have hung around to hear you play.

Maybe “issue” wasn’t quite the correct term. I generally never use any pedals, so it kind of came to me as a curiosity of sorts

The MG800 has a tuner out. Understandably, the MG350 does not due to space limitations on the head. When I use the MG350 I just bring along a little Korg tuner...works well for me. Plug the bass in the tuner, tune up, then plug the bass into the amp and go!
