Looks like a Tim Landers TL-5. I think the Sarzo had a non-painted neck.

I have my tone that I use to cover both bands. However, there are a few unique tones that Ross uses and I will adjust the pickup blend towards the bridge.
And on the pedal front, can you provide any VERY broad categories that my friend would want to abstain from buying now?

Any similarities between the b7k and the 4oTF? I have the b7k and a VMT on the way, I don't do the djenty metalcore heavy distortion usually associated with DG. I like thick punchy slightly over driven tones.All setup, sound check going smooth! Let’s Go!! Genzler Style!

Same here. The B7KU is my always on pedal and a major part of my overall tone.
The 4-OTF is completely different. The DG is modern sounding where the 4-OTF is more classic.
I was tweaking all weak to get a tone that works with what I do. I found the 4-OTF worked best before my DG. I was getting close to a “Moving Pictures” era Geddy tone when combining both pedals. I need to tweak it a bit more but used it on a few songs last night and it sounded great. The 4-OTF adds a little more wool to the modern tone of the B7KU.
The 4-OTF is such a great pedal and it compliments the already amazing sounding Magellan amps!
Probably closer to the VMT with 3 more flavors and lpf and hpf…
so more versatile than VMT but similar vibe.
could likely cop the VMT but don’t think the VMT could cop all the tones possible with the 4OTF
I just grabbed the vmt here in the classifieds for 225 last night, price was hard to pass up. I had the DG microtubes 500 for a bit. It didn't quite have what I was looking for but I really liked the VMT over the b3k. Next up on my gas list is some bass array 12s and the FoTF. The filters are a huge draw
great price - and if there’s overlap you can certainly flip it without losing anything. Both the VMT and the 4OTF stack really well so you could basically dial in 3 levels of dirt presets. Light od on one, light distortion on the other and both on for face melting!

Very tempting. I wish I knew if I should wait for something new from Jeff or just go with a Streamliner. I suppose it’s a backup if nothing else.
I’m torn a little as I love the combo and one hand grab. On the other, I love the tube goodness when I DI with the REDDI. And I’m kind of looking to find something with a preamp to replace my REDDI. It sounds awesome but lately I’ve been using my big muff on all the time and the extra signal - along with some pretty high compression - seems to make the REDDI better.
I should leave well enough alone, but I also want to add a couple effects for some songs and I’ll need to redo my board anyway.
The Streamliner could certainly work as a tube pre/DI for me. Not as floor worthy as the REDDI but possible.

Just get the Streamliner. It's a terrific amp and besides Jeff hasn't put out a new amp in like 6 years, not counting the Magellan 350 as it is just another Magellan. And if he does there is no way of knowing if it would even be anything like a Streamliner. There's my 2 cents.
About to start this corporate event for Teco-Westinghouse. They are from our neck o the woods but are having their corporate event up here in Ft Worth. The Genzler fun doesn’t stop!!
Outdoor gig last Saturday and this rig (and that bass!) absolutely slayed. Full, authoritative, just sublime. The 35" scale B string on the Lull was magical...
I love pictures of these great looking rigs. Almost makes me wish I needed one. But then I grab my MG350/12T-V combo in one hand and go.
It’s almost as fun having people tell me how surprised they are by my little amp. How full and loud it is for being so small.
