the array though is definitely very distortion friendly with less harsh breakup than many tweeter horn loaded cabs. The NU cabs do have a great tweeter in them too but different flavors of greatness.

There are a few on here that have both so they are better qualified to give you a comparison.

As to the 2x112 vs 1x212. I think that’s a wash as the BA goes down close to 30hz and once you couple 2 together you definitely get more low end extension on top Of the volume increase. Plus you have the option to use one for small gigs and 2 for bigger/louder requirements. (Easier to carry too…)

I agree with the two 112 cabinets. I have two Genz Benz focus 112, and like them very much, and was thinking about the Nu 212 cabinet.

I will say that if you like the Focus LT 112T cabs, you'll really like the Nu Classic series. As I may have mentioned before, the Nu Classic series is somewhat of a redux/update to what we achieved so long ago with the Focus LT cabs. The NC cabs having an updated/upgraded/next generation woofer and latest construction techniques for lightweight cabinet design.
Perhaps some food for thought...

9:00-->200Hz; 10:00-->300Hz; 11:00-->500Hz; 12:00-->650Hz; 1:00-->800Hz; 2:00-->1KHz; 3:00-->1.5KHz.

As always I recommend using your ear for fine tuning frequencies to cut or boost.

Reason I ask, again down the road, is now I’ve played some gigs they do fine, but I would like to just hear from some more seasoned people then I on what the benefits of 2 15” cabs vs mixing up the speakers in a another way. The two 15” hit sssooo low which I quite love but I noticed that even not at half volume of another bass amp similar
To mine in power but a 4x10 my 15” hit so Deep, an this is obviously expected. And I enjoy it, but I do play jam music so blues, funk, slap, that kind of thing comes into play. So I’m just wondering now time is moving on opening up, I’m wondering the thoughts of anyone what are the benefits they feel I get with 2 15” cabs and maybe the cons if any. I think I will always keep one 15” it’s just a matter of thinking on what I want to do with the other.

I also play with a Spector Euro with darkglass preamp. The bass does really well in jam setting, I was told it was more metal geared but it’s quite dynamic. But my
Point is the Spector has one the the lowest
Hitting B strings in the game, and has a tone of bass on board in the preamp inside the bass even when cutting it, it seems like
It takes away character of the whole basses tone. Maybe that just me. I have the SLT ARRYs and will stay with them, just exploring others opinions and findings. I also been recordings and I know eq is on me, but on the spec it’s very hard to hear anything on the higher strings. I just think it’s a lot of bass I cut the bass hard today, before I make a move I’m going to try to take the second channel since it will cut bass an eq from there mess with contours, maybe that will get my notes to cut more. I have a hyper luminal compressor, tuner, envelope filter for pedals and then use my sansamp as a sorta
Tone snapping pedal. I don’t use it much but I keep it for those weird roomes I need more eq flex ability and then of course if I ever need it to use for a show. Sorry for long posts, I’ve learned on here giving detail

I am, and it's the first combination of Array cabs which I like better than my triple BA12-3 stack (with one SLT in the middle). For my preferences, it's a close race between the 2xBA15-3 SLT and the BA12-3/BA12-3 SLT/BA12-3 stack, but those two options definitely work better for me than any of the other (excellent in their own right!) Bass Array options. Now, I do want to spend some time with the Nu Classic cabs at some point... :thumbsup:

You can't go wrong with any of the Array cab combinations but with what I've owned my favorite in order is:

3 of the 12-3 arrays
2 of the 210-3 arrays
3 of the 10-2 arrays
2 of the 10-2 arrays

I haven't been blessed to own or try the 15-3 arrays yet but I know they have to be amazing. Currently have the 350 and 2 of the 10-2 arrays. It's simply all I need and the tone and lightweight is amazing.

My takeaway is that something in your signal chain is negating the balanced sound of your array cabinets.

An idea is to remove everything in your signal chain, resulting in your bass straight to amp to cabinets. How does that sound?

I would also consider an fDeck hpf, cutting everything under 50 hz to start, moving higher as needed. How does that sound?

It's my guess that something in your signal chain is causing the problem, not your cabs.

Remove it all. Add 1 thing back at a time to see how it changes tone. It could be 1 thing, or several in combination.

Finally, some entirely different ideas. Are your array speakers plugged in? Are they actually working as intended? Contact Jeff Genzler for help?

As requested, old school Genz Benz tower of thunder in action tonight! (2) Genz Benz UBER 4x10 cabinets driven by the famous Genz Benz ShuttleMax 12.0. At soundcheck now, I am as happy as a schoolgirl in the Barbie section of Toys R Us!
