How do you like the line array Speakers/highs? I'm thinking of getting the 800 and three of the 12's Is it REALLY good?

Thank you for your comments. We've had a few players testing the BA2-112-3SLT/STR cabs and overall comments have been that the low frequencies are "more focused" than previous version. Now there are always challenges in describing tone in words.
I would not have thought the orginal design was "loose" in the low end, but again to me the SLANT version always has had a "cleaner" LF, so perhaps that is part of what your experience might have been. Especially if you were using the STRAIGHT vs the SLANT version.

In the NEW SERIES 2, 12" versions we do feel that there are differences to be experienced, so might be good to take a listen again if and when you might have the chance.

Thank you for the reply. I had the straight version. It sounds like the improved power handling and mid presence of the new version along with the more focused lows of a slant would definitely produce a cab worth checking out.

Not REALLY good…REALLY AMAZING!!!
Series 2 Cabs will give you all the highs and focused lows you’ll want! Get 2 Slant and 1 Straight if you go with 3 stacked!!

Tried my BA10-2 v2 stack out in rehearsal with a new band last night. 2 cabs, 3 piece blues/classic rock. I didn't reach half way on the volume knob. I was right on top of the cabs so I used my pedal train bag to give some extra angle to the top cab, and it worked/sounded great. I have no doubt that the combo with 2 extension cabs will cover anything I need. Just absolutely loving this rig!

After a few gigs either using my small rig or the venues house rig I was able to get the Genzler rig back in action last night. Man...did it sound great. I just put some new strings on and I busted out my Sadowsky preamp pedal and used it with just a slight boost to the lows and highs. I ran MG EQ flat and had the contour at 9 o clock. The low end that this cab is able to produce always impresses me while staying punchy in the mids and having that sweet top end. The bass just speaks anywhere you play on the neck. And as always the stage coverage and volume was on point. I think I ran the master at 9 o clock. Highlight of the evening was the look on the drummers face when I ended SRV's 'House Is Rockin' with the open low B...I think everything in the place was rattling....

The stage lights are set to fade between colors and they do that the entire time. Depending on when you snap the photo you might get purple, blue, green, red or any color in between….

Came across my old Genz Benz Artist photo from 2011 today. Man, what a rig this was. ShuttleMax 12.0 amp, Uber 410T & 212T cabs. Massive!!

The Array cabs are very innovative and I appreciate the ongoing improvement in this product line. I had a pair of the original BA-112-3 cabs and found them a bit loose in the low end. No knock on the design. Many players are quite happy with them. My question here: Would a BA2-112-3SLT provide a more focused low end?

If you have a chance, listen to either version of the 15. I gigged a pair of the 12’s for 3 years and enjoyed them, but the 15 does it for me for the low end.

Is there any advantage and/or noticeable difference in running these pedals @ 18v vs standard 9v?

It's ultimately about overhead and how quickly you want your signal to breakup/distort. I've found the 4otF to be very responsive to dynamics so I run mine at 18v which gives me the headroom and threshold I want for how hard I need to dig in to get the pleasant breakup I'm seeking. If you run a hot signal (eg: active bass or hot pedal), you'll see the benefit in moving it to 18v over 9v.

Try it both ways, see which you prefer.

That’s very helpful. I have been considering the 4otF. Have the Magellan Pre/Di, and run it at 18v. I also think the extra headroom would be beneficial for when I dig in. I must try a 4otf.

I went with a smaller board running off a single DC7 but ended up adding a second CIOKS 4 due to some noise issues I was having with the MXR pedals. I probably could have run a few of them off the Noble but wanted the flexibility that the CIOKs provide.

As an aside, I ended up having to pull my Crash Box off the board ( ) because I couldn't dial in a setting I was pleased with both as a stand-alone as well as in conjunction with my octave pedal. I'm not quite there with the Wampler either as it sounds really nice into my amp but sound fizzy in my in-ears. It's a never ending quest. The Crash Box is now on my small practice board.

Plus, chasing all the gremlins in the signal flow in preparation for my summer schedule has taken WAY more time than I care to admit and one of the reasons I haven't yet gotten to your other request yet, @MaxSpinrun!

Thx. And every pedal is touched each night. When you play stuff from the '60's to current, from Peter Gabriel (Tony Levin stuff) to Save A Prayer to Mr. Brightside, then back to BOC you gotta have those tones and effects ready. Compliments include "is that really you?" during live recording playbacks. It's alot, took a while to dial in.

That’s about the size I think would work for my needs and the amount of pedals I would use!
