Speaking of 10's, where's the MG110T-V cab?
I'd buy one, probably two, and I suspect others would too.

I asked Jeff about a 210 cab that was more vertical. At the time I had the 110BA and was debating a pair of them, but wanted a single cab. I liked the BA cabs, but I didn’t like how everything was horizontal. I wanted something more vertical, like my “mini stack” of a pair of 10’s. He said that they didn’t have anything like that in the works, but he had something I might like. A while later I had an MG112T-V at my door. Not exactly what I was looking for, but I really liked it. Needless to say I’ve kept it for ears now. It’s a great combo with my MG350 cradled on top.

This whole Genzler Amplification thread is about amplifiers. It isn't about those out there who don't want to have amps on stage. Those of us who buy Jeff's products DO want to have amps on stage, instead of IEMs stuck in our ears. Genzler amps are very accurate, vs. older amps that don't present players' music well on stage.

Well technically since Jeff Genzler has went to preamps and pedal formats this thread can be about both lol. I like both amps and IEM setups but when the FOH is right and you have a competent sound engineer IEM is hard to beat.

But I have been jamming with acoustic guitar and piano using the MG350 and one MG112T-V, but think a 10" similar to the old Genz-Benz Shuttle 3.0 10T would fit that situation, and transport would be easier. Maybe I'm just getting old and would prefer not to carry the extra weight (maybe 5-8 lbs) and bulk of the already small cab. Perhaps I need another BA 10-2. In hind sight, I should have kept one.

Regarding the Genzler Preamp DI? It's the best pre/DI I've ever used. Solid construction and feature set. Analog device with dual polarity power connection. Convenient form factor. Excellent price point for a truly boutique device.

Agreed. I really like the Vintage Contour, and having a mute switch and a HPF is excellent. Very quiet, pro gear.

I actually think the 112 is easier to carry than the 110. Weird, I know.

Vertical orientation is one of the reasons I went with the Nu-Classic line for a 210.

Plug in my ol’ iPod, Headphones, cord and an IPA and I’m in full practice mode! I take it out on road/fly dates for hotel room practice! Would be the ultimate IEM rig too with either the Crash Box 4, 4OTF, re-Q or all of them!!!

Do you have your Magellan Pre yet? How do you use yours?

After spending time with my Stomp today (have some ok presets) and finding the efffecvts, like the octave, just aren’t as good as I thought. It looses “track” on any note that’s longer than a second or two. Disappointing. Chorus and drive are ok but honestly, I think chorus gets lost in the mix.

I’ve debated trying dumping the Stomp but it does give options for when you want a different tone. Idk what to do.

Use mine similar to how you use yours for practice. Music from iphone or iPad in, nice set of KRK KNS-8400 phones. When I go out to jam with guitarist buddy, if I’m going ampless, then this pre/di really shines! Contours, EQ, HPF, I/O options, friends that have seen and heard it have been very impressed.

As I can't find any signal schematics you be able to help me: Is the Aux In routed to headphone only or to all outputs ? For my IEM setup I would like to use the Aux In for monitor signal input from FoH. If the Aux In is routed to DI out it will cause a feedback loop which unfortunately makes the Magellan Pre unuseable for me.

Aux input is routed to the main output, won’t work for your needs.

Here's how I use my Magellan Pre:

1) To get my Genzler sound when using another amp. For example, if there's an amp provided at the gig site, then I bring along my Magellan Pre and effects board to get a sound close to what I'm accustomed to from my Genzler rig. I've been using Genzler amps and cabs for several years now, so that is the sound I am used to. If I'm playing something like a musical theater pit orchestra gig and there's a house amp, I'll bring my pre and, if possible, plug into an aux in on the house amp. If there's no aux in, then I'll run into the main input, try to get the house amp as flat as possible, and use my Magellan Pre for tone shaping.

2) To add a second channel to my rig. If I need to double on another bass, I can run the Magellan Pre into the aux in on my Genzler head and effectively have a second Genzler channel. For example, if I need to play upright and electric basses on the same gig, or fretted and fretless, or P bass with flats and a modern 5 string active bass, then I can mute one and switch to the other without having to plug/unplug or change any tone controls. I can use the preamp section in the Genzler head for the first bass and use the Magellan Pre for the second bass and just mute whichever one I'm not using. I like this better than using an AB box.

I Have 4 of the v2 10-2s now and a pair of MG350s. Absolutely in love with the rig. Have all the options for most any gig now, including a stereo 210 stack setup. In most cases I’ll likely use a triple stack for gigs as I love the height and angle it provides. Plenty of headroom for indoor gigs.

That's great that the combo works for your bar gig. The combo gets pretty loud. What is your band like?
