I insert a Broughton HPF in the loop if the room boom dictates.
Not a sticker… it’s a magnet.

I missed switching channels live on the Magellan so, I permanently added the MG800 footswitch to my pedalboard! I like switching over to the Drive Channel on certain songs to add a bit more character! The footswitch is a great addition to the Magellan 800 amp!!

Hey Genzler Crew! I’ve been using a Magellan 800 I got as an open-box from a NAMM demo years ago. Love it for upright and slab with my Greenboy F112!

I’ve been eyeballing the Nu Classic 212T as a small-ish, potentially loud-ish cab that will fit in the van nicely on the road. I’ve been using an Acoustic Control Corp 106 2X15 loaded with JBL E140-8s, and I wonder how the 212T will compare volume-wise. The Acoustic doesn’t quite handle the lows at high volume without distorting. There aren’t any real specs for the Acoustic to compare.

Wow, the Stone Church! I used to play there regularly in the 90s and it sure looks different now!

I have a Sunn 200S cabinet with two K140s and it feels like it lacks lows to me up on the stage (an early Bag End II with a K140 gets a lot more low end) but out front past about 15-20', the low end develops nicely. But, I'm using two BA12-3s and it's a lot more punchy on stage and easier to carry. It definitely provides good low end. I don't know how that compares to the 212T, but it might be a step in the right direction.

My experience is, though, that the less low end you throw into the room, the more FOH turns up the bass in the mix and they have way more low end on tap than we ever will. Unless we get a Meyer based rig or something like that....

Thanks for your thoughts, Edwin! Yeah, the Stone Church is really nice now, and they are putting on great shows!

It's true, just about every show I play has solid FOH sound, but occasionally the monitor situation is lacking and I'm wanting more lows and punch onstage.

Where I live we got the biggest wooden church in Germany! They're kind of rare but existent! There is a dedicated list of wooden churches in Germany on Wikipedia.

Wouldn't it have been something if Genz-Benz had introduced the Bass Array design back in the Shuttle years? Obviously, the 3.0/3.2 heads with a BA 110, and the 6.0/6/6.2 heads with a BA 112, for example, both with the head cradles. Tsarter, you are doing the time travel version of this with your 3.0 and BA 110, sans cradle!

Heil PR40. Perhaps “old school”, but I like micing the cab and sending DI to the board. Micing allows engineer to get your exact tone you are hearing on stage.

If they did then fender would own it and we wouldn’t be getting the great customer service we get now.

Now if I could only manage to be I two places at once as well as time traveling!

I recently got a shuttle 9.2 mounted on the 2x10 cab with the cradle. What a beautiful tone! Having this means I can gift my son with my shuttle 9.0 and an Ear Candy 2x12 candy for his 26th bday. He’s going to be so surprised! He’s been gigging with some sort of Behringer combo so this will be a huge upgrade. Unlike me his back can handle moving that Ear Candy can too.
